Here is the long ago promised trade thread with all new rules and stuff. Here goes:

No longer do you have to post a For Trade or an ISO in the regular trade forum. I have been allowing this for some time, but now it is official.

You can simply post a FT or a ISO here, and take offers, and negotiate here.

The same rules apply to banned items as what applies on the trade forums.

Please don't post these items, as I do not want to have to ban anyone.

Be sure to title your post with the appropriate information: West, East, ladder, non-ladder, etc...

Only Classic items allowed. If you have Classic items and want to trade for LOD items, that is OK, but do not post any LOD items FT here.

I will post more rules as issues come up and as I think of them.

Value/tradewise no. I don't think it has any trading value. Few people are able to build a Hell viable char around it.
I make a barb with one and he is fun to play, be sure to add gobs or your killing speed might be a tad low.

Woestave barbs are pointless, just get a real weapon and don't waste your time. You won't accomplish much with it, and I don't see the fun in taking 5x as long to kill things just because you want to use a certain weapon. Find someone with a partizan or a nice scythe cheap, because people don't value them enough. 88 87 85 scythers here, and another one coming up :)

Hey what's up. 3 sock helms should be easy to come by... comb a cow game and you should get a level or two and likely a 3 socket helm as well. If you're not especially picky, and you have enough str, these are easy.

Vidala's set has no gloves or belt. Its amulet gets +50% mf when combined with another item, and its boots get 8% to all res. I like vid's boots due to the large stamina bonus for starting chars. Set information is probably best at the arreat summit. This is the link for vidala's information:

Sigon's shield is not terribly expensive. It seems to be pretty much all i ever find, so if you're on west sc ladder, i'm sure i have one lying around that I can give to you.

If you're making a mfer, then it might be good to keep one of the arctic pieces around. The belt gets 40% mf with another item. Having just 2 rows for potions is sort of annoying, but it is an inexpensive choice for mf.

Somewhere I have a 267ed is one. Which is better then average, so probably qualifies as nice.

Unless it happens to be a prelod(no level req, did they even drop back then ?) or a 1.09 one(3x ar in stead of 8 str). They don't really have much trading value unless somebody is in dire need of one. But if you aren't in a hurry to trade it, see what people offer for it. If you don't like the offer, or simply can't use it, cancel the trade. You can allways find another use for a Gnasher and it's better then feeling robbed by ending up with an item you are even less likely to use. Make sure you don't give in to the "plz plz plz" barriages that some people start off. They make a good offer, you trade, otherwise, they can take their sad stories to and cry on Alkara's broad, manly shoulders.

You don't have to be inhumanly cold to trade, but you should at least get something out of it.

Certainly a nice shield, but quite a high str req for such a low def. 30/20 would have definately made it worth a SoJ or higher. Like this, one might be better off with a Ward. Though I admit, ward does lack fhr, hfd and reduce poison length. I would think this shield to be red-ish because of it's latter mod.

seriously, thanks for all of your thoughts, many mimic my own. I was thinking the same, but my lvl 89 blizzer honestly doesn't do any duelling to speak of, so this has just been occupying space in the stash. My thoughts were that even tho the blizzard is only +2/+2, that the +2 glacical spike would help in duelling by offering a harder hitting spike to spam with in between casting blizzard. *shrug*

I do too, in fact I don't attempt to maximze each and every skill/stat like many here do, and don't mind committing a couple of points to str to wear a gskin. This armor would probably be worth a bit more if it weren't as heavy as it is, but with the same mods. The -req is the only reason I kept it at all.


Certainly a nice shield, but quite a high str req for such a low def. 30/20 would have definately made it worth a SoJ or higher. Like this, one might be better off with a Ward. Though I admit, ward does lack fhr, hfd and reduce poison length. I would think this shield to be red-ish because of it's latter mod.

seriously, thanks for all of your thoughts, many mimic my own. I was thinking the same, but my lvl 89 blizzer honestly doesn't do any duelling to speak of, so this has just been occupying space in the stash. My thoughts were that even tho the blizzard is only +2/+2, that the +2 glacical spike would help in duelling by offering a harder hitting spike to spam with in between casting blizzard. *shrug*

:) while I'm a bit more careful, and a bit more patient in my trading, I'm more proud of the fact that I once had a legit find of a 3-4 soj worthy naga, than upset over the fact that I let it go for only one soj.

it's all about outlook, and I'm not a total slave to style items, unlike a pal of mine that tried for ever to get a completely matching green set up for his baba. so far, that he used a socketed a grim helm with an emmy even tho he didn't need the dex, and rightfully could have used other hats more effectively.

but, along the same lines, I have a wshell, it's unfortunately a topaz'ed one, instead of ruby/dia but at the same time, simply having one somehow changes things when items are in the trade window. it makes the noobs go "wow", and even the folks who have been around a little bit think a split second longer about trade terms.

getting that first soj also opens the door to better items in a hurry. suddenly, somehow the legit tri resist, fcr/leach ring that "sucked" just cause one of the resists wasn't in the 30s is now worth considering again... (as an example)

funny you say that about pae, for some reason he attracts all sorts of hate.

I myself haven't had a problem with him. I get more ticked at the tools that unparty during cs runs, or the high lvl sorcs that hostile, and want to disrupt a cs run. at higher levels, it's just not worth getting hammered by a sorc, only to die and lose exp to a oblivion or something, and I'm not enough of a dueller to try to pwn the sorc doing so.

so far, I've only done it successfully once. I was doing a mini-raid (popping seals, and killing infector/vizier) with my blizzer, got hostiled by a fballer who teleported right into the blizzard I had just cast on vizier.

That grim sheild can not spawn, +2, 20pris, 28fr, and 12dtm are all prefixes, and 3 is the most you can have.
183 2max bhammer? I guess you have 220%ed or so, because that's also unspawnable. That naga would be around 197%ed, so you might actually have it. The serpentskin is probably the only one you have, seeing as it has realistic mods.

You should be able to buy a snap for gold, offer 800k or so to a level 90 char and you will have your snap. Don't expect a perfect offcourse.
Perhaps the same goes for the rattle. Gobs seem to be a bit more rare though, so people might be less likely to sell those for gold. This is presuming the high level Ladder players enjoy a good gamble like the non Ladder ones. :)

Goblin toes are wisely used so they are rarely sold for gold. People tend to hoard them even if they have enough. Perhaps if you offer large amounts of gold, try 1.5mil or 2 mil (You'll need two trades at least to get all the gold across to the seller, so one of you two will have to trust the other)

It really depends on the people. You can prolly get gobs for gull/gs/silks and mebbe even from a needy sorc for a shard.

Gothic bows without IAS can still hit the highest classic breakpoint for regular attack/guided arrow, and they work great for strafe.

What's the highest gothic bow on East Lad WITH 20IAS? Much lower. I have offers around this range from every reasonably wealthy bowazon who sees it. Loath Flight, a similarly modded duped gothic bow on NL was quite popular (when zons were), even without IAS. If you don't think it's worth 2 SOJs, then don't try to trade for it, I have other people who want it. With 20IAS, this bow would easily fetch over 5 SOJs, probably much more from an older player who likes playing with zons. Collectors like near perfect items, and if this had 20IAS then the value would soar greatly. I just offered to trade it because since acquiring this I've come across a bow I like much more (20IAS blue double bow with very nice mods).
Gothic bows are also the only type of bow that are worth using without 20IAS. A double bow with no IAS fires at the same speed of a 20IAS rune bow. A rune bow with no IAS fires at the same speed as a gothic bow. A gothic bow has huge damage, and without IAS it still fires just slightly slower than a rune bow with 20IAS and appropriate IAS gear, but thereis nothing higher damage.
Using strafe, a gothic bow with no IAS works perfectly.

To summarize, if you don't want it, other people do, so don't complain about it lacking a mod that it still performs very well without.

I'm on USWest SC Ladder and I'm putting together a freezing arrow zon. Here's my ISO:

In terms of amulets, I still need
1) Eye of Etlich with a long freeze duration (8+ seconds). I currently have two that are around 4 or 5 seconds, which is ok for right now, but once I go into hell, the freeze duration penalties will probably eat me. I can trade a 7% eye for one with a longer duration, or we can just work something out.

Alternatively, I could use:
2) +1, +2 Zon ammy with cold damage and resists. Stats are also a bonus.

In terms of weapons, I still need:
3) Doomslinger unique repeating xbow.

Alternatively, I could use:
4) A nice rare with +skills, IAS, a fast base speed, and cold damage (preferably of the glacier: +(2-4)-(4-15) Cold 4sec: clvl=20). Damage is no issue/not wanted

Alternatively, I could also use:
5) A million flawless and normal gems. The flawless + magic and normal + socketed recipe gives ilvl 30. +1 zon skills and 20% ias are alvls 30 and 25 respectively, if the list of affixes is correct. And, of course, +1 skills + 20% ias + 3 or 6 seconds duration from 1-2 psaphs = awesomeness

add +2 onto that, and keep the lvl 19 req and it'd be like that +2 tri resist/fcr wand I got schooled about :laugh:

the only thing intriguing about that hammer, is the relatively low lvl req, but even at that, I don't think you'll find an LLD attempting to be a hammerdin.

I agree with your assessment, but I tend to prefer to sell to akara, or jamella, charsi hardly ever gets my drops, she's too dirty, and not in a good way... :)

for me, it's purely aesthetic reasons. Jamella is hot in her own way, and Akara's voice turns me on.

Dont get me wrong, Charsi has that cutsie cheerleader voice going on, but that annoying hammering all the time, and knowing that she's probably filthy/stinky from sweating over the forge so much doing repairs, well I can't get past it.

This being the classic section, where there are no Elite shields of the spiked/barbed/Blade Barrier class, I don't think your ISO can be resolved here.

Why can't people just choose that option in their profile, the realm where they currently play the most and thus where they would be ISO LoD items in a classic realm.

22 CR, 28 LR +23 life, pois reduced 75, and 15 AR red leather I just found. if interested lemme know. I have a couple of mages, and light plates on mules that are similar, but most also have the fhr that you don't need, or care about.

You could just imbue some lances... ED isn't that hard to get. Any 30+ char can get a very nice amount of ED on their imbue. Other then this I think your call might go unanswered. If you help people out here, post some more, generally contribute to the community, you might find people more willing to cut you a deal on items. Your current 6 posts just doesn't speak for you.

I have 3 pally priz shields. two with fhr. one is a green kite with 10 fhr 18 priz, a purple gothic with 17 fhr, but 16 priz and finally a purple tower, with 19 priz (tower is heaviest and no fhr)

we apparently aren't ever on at the same time, (and I've been told lately, I'm spending too much time on :laugh: ) I've tried whispering you a couple of times.

I have no need for din ammy's, and have 3 +2 priz din shields, and a +2, +1 conc, +3 bh sceptre. however, if your shield has +2, stacked rez, and/or a socket/p dia I would potentially consider it for my mf baba's 268 mart.
