Hi, welcome to classic. Be sure and read the stickies at the top.
Right forum, maybe the wrong question. We're not allowed to give advice on dupes as it is against forum rules. They can be discussed, such as why or why not they should be used, but where to get them, what they cost and can you trade for them here, is a no-no. I can say, I have seen it, it is a dupe and it is exspensive. You won't find it here. Hope this helped.

Can you please provide a direct quote from the rules that supports what you just said regarding dupes and their place on these forums?
There are no rules against talking about dupes at all. So I don't see any problems with his post.
That said, I have no idea what they cost.

You are asking for a trade value on a known duped (duped = hacked) item.

HRazor isn't a ghost clan dupe, and it's not that rare either. Most of them are clean anyway since nobody uses them.

Thanks for playing, please come again. This discussion (within reason) is allowed on this forum, as outlined in the rules themselves. Also, on the other forums (PvP for instance), you can see that talking about dupes are allowed, because 99% of the great NL xpac duelers use dupes, and openly talk about them as well. And guess what, the mods dont seem to care, at least they havent yet.

smart assed comment...yes you can discuss dupes to a limited degree....what you can't discuss is the value of the dupe...that is exactly what the original poster asked for...and that is what yogi's quote is in reference to....even if dacar doesn't have a problem with the contents of this thread...a price check for an item doesn't belong in a separate thread.

Nowhere in the ten commandments is it said that you cannot ask for the values of dupes.
How many times have people asked for the value of their enigma (made from duped runes) or any other high end rune word? Obviously this sort of thing is not forbidden. People even trade duped items all day long in the trading forums. Not to mention the fact that even Halciet has recommended the use of duped items (32020s).
Yogi's quote is completely irrevelant to the thread. The thread is about a duped item, while the quote is about third party programs, maphack, pindlebot, etc.
@Yogi: You did read that before you copied and pasted it, didn't you? The word dupe, in any form mind you, isn't even in there. Hacked items are those things on open bnet that give you 99999999 dmg and whatnot. Duped items are items that have legitly dropped and have since been duplicated. See the difference?

Thanks Dave and Yogi for backing me up on this. And for all those who want to know for sure, Dacar has stated his opinion on threads like this asking for VALUES on dupes. Read here:
http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=417390
I did say they could be discussed such as why or why not they should be used, that is within reason of coarse. As Dave and Yogi have also stated. This request was not within reason.
The sarcasm and attacks on peoples personal in classic is getting out of hand. It's sad. This "holier than thou" attitude needs to stop. I'm sure a lot of people don't even wanna post as much anymore for fear of being ridiculed. That takes away from purpose of these forums. To put as much information on the game as possible in these forums. Sure, people make mistakes and may post the wrong information or have a different opinion, but they can be corrected or an idea can be disagreed upon without putting someone down in the process. Treat people the way you would like to be treated, it's that simple.

Well first of all, its not posted as being against the rules. Secondly, it is allowed in other sub forums. Just because Dacar won't allow it doesn't mean that it is against the rules. Why he won't allow it? I have no idea. All I know is that it is not against the posted rules anywhere.
As for this quote from dacars post that you linked to:
"I (or a trade mod) will ban immediately if someone knowingly posts a trade thread with dupes in the FT or ISO lists."
That is obviously just not the case. How many times each day does someone list (insert high rune here) in their ISO or FT?

Soooo . .. Verbally abusing someone in game is different than doing so on these forums? Maybe you should get off your high horse you hypocrite. And just incase you forgot, remember that time when you were msging WL saying all that crap, yet you wouldn't even go into the games he was in? Yeah, that is was I was referring to.
I guesss I missed a moniker when cleaning up your immature rantings a few months ago. See ya.
To the OP: I am not going to allow price checks for dupes. I don't know all of the dupes of the toop of my head so I rely on other people to point them out.
