If you get 6 mods on a rare assassin claw can you get any extra mods that are inherit on the claws themselves?
Here's what I was thinking:
+2 assassin
+3 traps
+3 lightning sentry
+40 ias
-30 requirements
+2 os
Then some mods like + mindblast or something on the claw. Is this possible to have aswell? What else would you want on it? And how much would you pay to have these in greater talons. Everything you own, that's what I thought... I would at least.

Not...
Possible...
Sorry:sad2:
You can either have + to all skills or + to a specific tree, but not both.

+3 traps
+3 lightning sentry
+40 ias

+2 os
wet dream of any trapper/hybrid
not possible though :sad2:
It is quite good even if you remove the +2 assa...
+3 to skilltree can't appear on rares/crafts either.
with 40 ias the 2 sockets only really could be useful for like str / dex with %ed jewels and then u would have to be hybrid

Erm, res jewels?
Ias/Res jewels to hit 9 frame trap laying speed leaving helm sockets open for ber / jah?
Claw socket options are much more varied than people think.

Mentioned those types of claws in your thread btw. Wanted to try out some 2/3/40 GT's or Runics with 2 um's. But finding a pair is just impossible. Paid a small fortune for my plain 2/3's with 0 socks for my trapper, and they didnt have any ias.

Alright my fault. I don't play assassin's but would like to sometime. Thanks for the information I'll keep that in mind. Still though is it possible to have more then +3 traps +3 lightning sentry, or +2 assassin skills +3 traps? Also which would be better overall?

Magical +3 Traps/40%IAS with +3 Automods (up to 3 different I believe is possible?). Take it to Larzuk and get 2 sockets in it. =)

2/3 with 2 socks is better, mainly since it adds 2 to fade and claw block, meaning less points needed in there, ergo more in trap synergies = higher damage overall. GTs are best, that way only 30% ias is needed to allow one ias / res sock and the other for whatever you want.

Ah, ok. Claw Block... IMHO, it's worthless due to the slow blockspeed. Only way to increase it is to wear a Guardian Angel (I think those 30% FBR applies to all kinds of blocking?) and it only gets 1 frame faster or something.
Two frames faster, I think. But really, is the blocking that slow for you guys? I mean, taking 60% less damage vs an extra 4 frames lost somewhere.

Also with claw block, if you are walking or running it doesn't block.
Only when stationary.
Not sure about when teleporting though.:undecided:

umm actually weapon block works at all times for the full % listed in your skill no matter what you are doing.

damn.. my bad i guess weapon block really is worthless...
From areat summit
You will only block while standing still or attacking. Weapon Block does not work while walking or running.
Edit i found the guide mentioning weaponblock.
From a d2guide
Weapon Block – 10 Points

This one is tough. You really have two options here. Since mods from a secondary claw do not carry over to Blade Fury or Dragon Talon, you might want to use a shield since you can achieve a higher block and probably get some nice resists. The other side of this, though, is that weapon block faces no penalties for movement. With ten points in this skill, you’re only going to get hit half the time, period. Run all you want. If you do choose a shield, though, make sure you get one with high resists. My opinion? Simple. What Ninja ever used a shield?

weaponblock is pretty useless for trappers in my opinion... you wont be standing still next to an enemy while you let your traps hit him. its only use is probably for martial art claws.
