I just found my first skin of the vipermagi, and I was quite happy since this is the first time i have ever found an item that is occasionally mentioned in the gear parts of the Build guides... i am not rich.

But then i saw someone mentioning that armor and stating it has around 800 defense. The one i found only have 273...

That is a huge difference, and does it mean that the one i found i basically worthless, or is the 800 defense a result of "upping" (which i dont have the runes to do anyway) so my armor is still actually an OK found.

Congrats on your first vipermagi!
The armor is suppose to have only 273 defense so don't worry. And you're right, people 'up' (lem+ko+p diamond) the armor to a wyrmhide and that's how they obtain 800+ defenses.

Vipermagi always has 273 defense, so the one with 800 you saw mentioned had to have been upgraded. The upgraded ones can range quite a bit, and even break 1000 defense. (I've got a 990 one myself. :smiley: )

Thanks for clarifying that. So i dont need to be disappoited about my skin of the vipermagi.
This also reassures my belief that it is indeed possible for noob and poor players to be lucky once in while....

Now i just need the runes to "up" that armour...

Id only up if it is 34 or 35 res. If it is, I might be willing to let go of a lem rune in your favor.

But it is only 24 res. So maybe i will find a better one for upping some day.
When (or if) I do, I will get back to you :azn:, unless i will find a Lem and Ko before finding the armor ... again.

And if i find Lem and Ko i will probably 'up' the one i have anyway, since i have never done it before, just for doing it :grin:

By the way, i still need Hell Hellforge, what runes can be expected from there ?


Minor correction: The defense of my armor is 279, as it should be according to Areat Summit. My mistake.
