Nightmare character, Normal game

My assasin just completed Act 5, with help.
Now when I try to join existing games I can only join NM games.
Is there a way to join Normal games?
Seems that the person who helped me through Baal must have done it before.
So how did that person join a Normal game?

unless you know the name of the game, you can't. you can only see NM games once you get the baal quest.

you can always make a normal game with a diff character, perm it, then come back to it with your assassin for leveling up.

If you want to make the game you don't have to do anything as complicated as that. Just click on the toggle for normal difficulty when creating the game with the NM enabled character.

IF you want to join pub games that you don't create you'll need to have a caracter that hasn't completed norm yet. Fire that character up then pick a few games you might want to join with your Assasin. Write those games down, esc out, join with your Assasin, and join if you can. Kinda sux but if you prefer to join others games as opposed to making your own norm games it's your best bet.
