Poison creeper and the merc

I've just started a poison creeper druid. I've got my merc at level 7 while I'm already on level 11. Because the vine is so effective, my merc isn't levelling up as fast as I am. Other than unsummoning the vine (how do you do that, by the way - it spends so much time underground it seems impossible to target it) how do I get my merc to do more work and thus get more points?

u cant unsummon your vine, your vine wont work that great the whole time, when u come further in the game your erc will get his kills:laugh:

poison creeper is much more deadly than many folks think.

i advise you to make some levelling runs with your merc if you really need to level your merc fast. apart from that, he ll kill in some poison immune areas where the wine isn't effective like stout said and gain exp..

thanks, both of you, for your advice. I think I might have to do a levelling run if it gets too bad - I understand that it's best to keep your merc within a couple of levels of your character for her to be most effective. It's amazing to watch the vine at work, I'm really enjoying this one.
