This has probably been asked several times, but using the search function for "tornado" will probably give me a zillion of matches if it works at all.
How to aim with tornados ? I think it's very annoying thet they move so erratically. Currently I aim a little behind the monster I want to hit, but IMO it still doesn't work satisfying enough.
I stopped at hell act 4 with my druid out of anger and frustration :sad2: I insist on questing solo BTW.

the only real sucsess iv had aiming it is a very fast cast and spamming like a mad man, if u have a strong merc it makes it alot easyer cos he can tank while u sort out your aim.

Pfft. I'm guessing all you gotta do is teleport onto them - but I'm also guessing that you don't have an enigma on that character.
Tornado's kinda for a big group, or a big singular monster: other times, you've got to run up and hit them with it at point blank range.

I have a single Enigma, but I currently need it for my zealot, for Baal and organ runs. #2 on my list would be my necro, so the chances are rather low that I will give it to him.
Hmm, OK, so I guess I will have to get through the rest of the game somehow and stay calm when that !§$%& <insert small, quick, missile shooting monster> escapes my tornados all the time while the merc is busy elsewhere.
Thanks for the replies.

I have the same problem with my Windy, and although he is not in Hell yet, he has managed to drop a few points into Tornado and Hurricane. I can imagine that FCR will help a lot.
I also reposition him when I find that his Tornados are missing the target. Just move a little and the new Tornados should hit. They are erratic, but my feel for it is that they have a slightly bigger area of effect than the animation shows.
A couple of the guides also advice to aim behind your target, on open ground. This works and it doesn't, and I find that it is not all that different from aiming at a monster directly.
