How are anni's so common?

I asked at another message board and they said an anni drops when you kill Uber Diablo (not the Diablo in Uber Tristram) and they said he only goes into one game after a certain number of SOJs are sold to merchants. During one game I saw a message pop up twice saying how many SOJs have been sold to merchants.


My other questions are.

If he only appears in one game after a certain number of SOJs have been sold to merchants how is it that so many people have them and how do they happen to be in the game that he spawned in?

A long time ago, SoJs were duped like crazy. This was the source of the seemingly endless supply of SoJs that initially spawned DC. Lately however, DC walks have been becoming rarer and rarer as the supply of SoJs decreased.

Also, he doesn't appear in only one game. He appears in every game on a certain server (not battle.net server), so he can appear in quite a number of games in a single spawn. Check out http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=223863 for more information.

so the cost of anis will only soar higher and higher?

if my sorc doesn't have an ani yet and i'm not rich I can probably write it off as unobtainable?

I think the price of annis is pretty stable. This is of course due to people still duping SoJs for the purpose of spawning dclone.

I don't know the price range on USEast, ask in the trade values section.

strange how this puts us all in the odd position of being indebted to the dupers for any chance whatsoever of having such an irreplacable item.
