So here's the deal..

I'm trying to bargain with this guy over an axe, but I have nothing he wants, he says if I can find him decent items with good resists etc, (vague I know) then I could have the axe, but the problem is, I don't know where to begin hunting for such great items.
I'm level 48 WW Barb, I'm on hell act 3, but I can only do the early stages of act 1 by myself, I can do NM Cows, though with a bit of a struggle, but it does get done.
Any suggestions where I hunt?

Are you talking about Mfing? Cause if you are I could only suggest nm andy, meph or hell andy meph if your a barb. If anything, what server do you play on? USEast? USWest? If you are on USEast I might help ya mf for a bit, or will keep my eye open for a good axe. In order for people to really help you, it might help to let us know mods on axe and what ur offering.

I've got a Patriarch, and a few decent rings, (Manald ring etc).
And BTW, what does MF mean? I can't kill Andy on hell just yet, maybe in 10 levels time, I'm still around the Stony Field area, but will soon need to move on, as it is getting a bit easy.

It's something like 105-230 damage, with a leach of somekind attached to it.

You could try doing rakanishu and tristram in hell and dark wood aswell. Or in nightmare you could try doing tristram runs. Its a good idea to wear a 3 topaz helmet for more MF.

I was in Cows and came across a unique axe called Humongous, it's 51-108 damage, adds 8-19 damage, 33% chance of crushing blow, and +27 strength, does anybody know if this axe is worth anything?

Also Mephi dropped a 2h axe, called the Brain Hew, is that worth anything?

Your character does not get reset, the Ladders do.
All the characters which are currently on the ladder will be 'moved' to non-ladder and thus the ladder will be reset, completely empty and free for all.
Everybody gets a fresh start if they want on a new ladder.
All your Ladder characters will be playable, they will simply be tossed into the pool of non-ladder characters. I don't know how often they do this. Others, who actually follow Ladder activities should be able to tell you. like most things, I don't think Blizz has a fixed plan for it though. :)

Mebbe because I smell as bad as Diablo, of brimmstone and scoarched earth, or maybe because they don't want to play among dupes.

Last reset was august 2005 -- before that it was about 16 months of ladder play i believe

Squiggle -- Lets not start the ladder reset speculation conversations just yet. Blizzard anounces something which is concrete about 1 week before it happens :)

Thanks alot Warlock, I was worried about my character being deleted, I don't mind him being moved at all though.
