Advice Needed on MFing

I have a level 72 orb sorc that has over 300% mf. Shes my favorite char except for the fact that she cant even do andy by herself(hell). Its pathetic. I know some places to mf that arent bosse slike andy, meph, or d. One of my favorite places is the carver near the tristim portal. If you guys have any good mini boss types that are good for MFing, please sya who they are AND where I could find them at (Please be specific for I just started D2 a couple weeks ago). Andy is my favourite mf spot for sorcies. Try taking off your mf gear for teleing and shaving Andy down then swap over to mf gear for kill. Try to get atleast 70fcr. Is gull included in your 300mf? if so swap to shard for teleing.

My advise for a 7X sorc is to master the ability to mf andy hell with ease, after that Mephisto is a good option

Rakinshu is the carver boss and yes he is ok for a nice flow of rares.

I forgot that only the last hit on andy matters. What lvl should an orb sorc be able to take Andy (hell) by herself? If I had maphack things would be so much easier.. lol... Im never getting it though. Well yes ty for the advice.

I think your problem is you are wearing all mf gear and have very little fcr. You just need to get in the catacombes and right click like its going out of style and you will be fine :afro:

Dont forget about the andy bug that makes her always quest drop. You always get rares even with 0 mf, if you dont feel like switching gear around for the kill

mf doesnt matter on andy. Your better off having 50 mf and stack your res fcr and massive potions. Iv killed andy with 425 mf many times and havnt got a thing. Ill throw my good gear on and fly threw it 3 times faster, not having to worry about switching gear over n over. iv gotton 2 gulls and 1 off a quest pop on andy, with 50 mf. Stack that mf for nm meph tho, he is amazing.

Using any mf at all for doing andy is pointless, as it will decrease the chance of getting rares, but rares are the main objective of doing the runs. Heres some gear advice(i was able to do Hell andy at lvl 60ish with no problems using this gear):
Helm: Irathas helm / 3 socket helm with perf rubies
Armor: Twitchthroe
Shield: Any shield with resists that has around 50% block or more(with twitch your block gets boosted to 75). A good option is a prismatic shield of deflecting as it will speed up your blocking aswell, which helps.
Weapon: Spectral shard
Amulet: Nokozan relic / rare amulet with resists(+skills arent that important)
Rings: 2 rings with resists (if you dont use magefist as gloves they both need to have faster cast rate)
Gloves: Rare or magic gloves with resists / magefist / bloodfist
Boots: Rare or magic boots with resists (its easy to shop 30+ resist boots from nightmare gheed)
Belt: Rare or magic belt with resists and life(again, easy to shop).

This setup is great, because it gives you 85 fire resist(really helps), 75% blocking with 30% faster block, 70% faster cast rate and 70% faster hit recovery. And all the gear is dirt cheap, its easy to get it from high levels for cash (around 500 000 gold for a unique is about the price)

OK the problem is getting some of that. I dont use magefist I use frosties. Heres my cs equip.

Helm: Face of Horror (mask)
Shield: Ward
Gaunts: Frosties
Ammy: +1 sorc skills all res+19
Ring1: Nag (I NEED FCR)
Ring2: Nag again(i need fcr)
Boots: 24% mf with res(i need better boots)

PTC is correct I dont use any mf on Andy and get more rares, but to each his own. Maybe it is a quality not quantity situation

You could drop the 2 nagels for fcr/res rings, because you dont need mf for andy but the 9fps breakpoint will help when you tele

Its got nothing to do with luck, its just a bug in the game. You always get the quest drop when you kill andy and quest drop means that all items are rares or better. SO mf is pointless.

I would also put at least 10 on tele, also. It is really good for your mana(if you don't have a lot). I'll bet the reason you can't mf andy by yourself, is because you get caught in a big crowd of monsters while teleing. That's usually what happens to me.

My cs/pvp gear is:
Armor:Sharkskin, 24 fhr, 59 life tri resist
Boots:Greaves,10%frw tri resists
Helm:War Cap, 10 fhr, 45 life dual resist
Gloves:Frosties
Weapon:Shard
