Nihatak's Temple Portal

Is there a way to open the red portal to Nihatak's temple once it's gone. i plan to do some pindle runs and right now the only way is to use the waypoint of Halls of Pain. i play single player btw.

No, there is no way to get it back. BTW, you lose it if you both killed Nihlathak and got the waypoint in his temple.

i once tried this, and (if i remember correctly) i killed nilathak but didn't get the waypoint because i wanted to pindle...
but when i created the next game the portal was gone and i had the waypoint!
i'm not completely sure though... guess i'll try it again tonight.
