I'm starting a new necro (my other one = failure) and I decided to go summoner. I've planned everything out, but I want to know if I should change my skills.

20 Skeleton Mastery
20 Raise Skele
20 Raise Skele Mage
5 Revive
20 Poison Nova
1 teeth (requirement)
1 poison dagger (rq)
1 poison explosion (rq)
10 Corpse Explosion

2 remaining points I dunno what to do with

I've looked at other builds, and they ALWAYS max out corpse explosion. I don't get it, cuz lvl 20 CE does the same damage as lvl 1 CE. Why is it so important to get the extra range?

i was wondering that too myself, but after just a few games of chaos runs and pit runs and just general playing, the extra range is a godsend... you can kill monsters that havent even entered the fray of battle yet with a lvl 30something CE, which I have after +skills... I'm pretty sure it kills things off the screen... its sick. I recommend it.

The range is why you max CE, espically after all the plus skills, if you make a summoner you will also need a tankable merc. Also you have to be a patient player summoners kill slow, really slow.

5 into revive isn't necessary. 1 will suffice. Let +to skills do the rest.

Where are the curses? Surely you plan to have curses.

hehehe that would b fun
but... if you have an act 1 fire merc with Bramble + Faith, it more than compensates for the lvl 9 fanat aura in beast :)

but, act1 merc = no lvl 2 merc, ant act 2 merc have auras, i think that act 2 combat (might aura) are pretty swell with a summoner :thumbsup:

ur act2 might merc use bramble+pride
...4 auras is preety cool^O^
may add dream helm & dragon shield upto 6 auras^^

Why Poison Nova, is there a specific reason for this, or would bone spear work as well - not a suggestion, more a question.

well with enigma...getting your skills to 40ish...and getting bramble + lower res with psn skills...the nec kills very fast solo...or in smaller games (3-4ish players, anymore players and CE starts to lose its effectiveness).....

those are the simple ways to speed up your kill rate...:thumbsup:

beast is decent, however still raise you army with AOKL and then swtich to beast...hell if you want lots of beefed up skeles you can use a CTA also....not that they need it...:shocked:
