Killing Duriel?

Hey there, I have a lvl 25 trapper on single player, and Duriel is being not very nice. I can kill everything up to him easily, but even on /players1 he's impossible. My skill setup is:
1 in tiger strike
1 in cobra strike
1 in all finishing moves
3 in BOS
1 in all prerequistes for Shadow Master
6 in Fireblast
2 in LS
1 in the fire traps and pre-reqs for LS
my stats are 62/58/72/35 ish.
Any suggestion? I'm running around with my Act 1 fire rouge, should i get an act 2 merc instead? BTW, i'm doing 22-53 damage per regular attack, is that good enough? I've been trying to TS/CS/kick him, but he stuns me to much. I've always tried laying tons of LS and then running around, but that takes forever and to much mana.

u should have a act2 def merc, but it will still die. just use it as a tank

I'm not expert with assassin, but I suggest that you use tiger strike. Killed all act bosses using tiger strike, when I played assassin (altought she wasn't trapper). Throw traps around Duriel's lair and then start hitting him with TS.

Duriel has always been a pain to fight. The Lightning Sentry route is probably the most viable way you have to kill him, though you didn't focus on the skill and give it decent damage. Fire Blast is usually something I work on right before heading to Hell.

To go my way, I would suggest grabbing a LOT of thawing potions, then drinking all of them before the fight. That helps me to stay alive. If possible, find as much +mana gear as you can. Usually you can find rings with some of it, or an amulet. Then bring a lot of blue potions with you to the fight. If you manage to find one piece of gear with Prevent Monster Heal on it, then I would equip that and make sure they get hit with it once. It will make all of your boss fights much easier from here on out.

I *hate* Duriel. Let the merc keep dying - it is better than you getting killed. I stuck to the "trap, hit, trap, RUN to town" and repeat, repeat, repeat way of killing him. Oh and I got a mate to help at the end too.

Thanks for all the idea's, I'll go and get myself a defensive merc. I do decent damage, it's just the whole he-stuns-me and the does lots of damage that does me in. A tank will help.

Just saw you had prereqs to Master. Casting your Warrior will also help. It's a 1-hit kill for him, but the distraction is good while she lasts.

60k gold later, I finally beat him! The merc and shadow lady were a big help, thanks for everyone who sugested them. Now onto act 3!

Enjoy Death Sentry + Flayers if you hit 30 by that time. I think A3 is my favorite out of all of them for that reason alone. It's too bad most people on the realms skip it.
