quick ? on ilvl and crafting

I was curious if I use a high level gambler to gamble magic ammys to use for crafting if this would be an easy way to go about getting the ilvl>71 so i can get my 4 suffixes

just a quick question
and also, where do you find out the alvls and ilvls and etc on items? so for future questions i could just figure it out myself... thanks

Gamble and craft with a level 93+ character to always have a chance at +2 skills as well. For more explanation on that, try a search of the Statistics Forum.

For shopped items: ilvl = clvl+5 (in normal, there are caps on ilvl)
For gambled items: ilvl is in the range [clvl-5 , clvl+4]
For dropped items: ilvl = mlvl.
In normal: see d2data.net for mlvl.
In nm/hell:
normal monsters: mlvl = area_lvl
champs: mlvl = area_level+2
uniques+minions: mlvl = area_level+3
