Is this true? If so, how much difference is it? thanks
That's true. Depending on the Grade (normal/exceptional/elite) and the durability , a superior armor can go roughly 100x the price of a non-superior armor.
Same apply with weapons.

100x???? Are you sure about that?
Is it the fact that they are superior that makes them costly to repair? or the +durability %?
It's by no mean an exaggeration.
It's the fact they are superior made them expensive to repair. That's why I always have a few Rals in my hammerdin, because I just simply can't afford to repair my superior enigma duskshroud.

Both durability and %ed makes it more expensive. Didn't really repair many superior armors yet, but people say it's over 200k per durability point lost.
Just get some ral runes =)

I actually had a couple of superior 'Duress' Boneweaves that didn't give me much trouble at all as far as repair costs go; their superior mod only consisted of enhanced defense. It wasn't until I made one in a superior Boneweave that had both enhanced defense and increased durability that the repair costs became rather noticeable, but this might be just a coincidence.
