Ahoy folks. This is my very first post in the Druid forum. I'm officially making my very first Druid that I intend to use for anything other than muling perfect gems.

A bit of background:
I took a peek around and got interested in Kaz's Hybrid "Flaming Rabies" build. I am planing my gear but would like to think that I can alter his build slightly by goofing around with IAS. Once I can calculate the exact IAS figures properly combined with Weapon IAS and Gear IAS, I'm going to fool around with some calculations and figure out best Poison and Fire damage.

For those of you that know my style of building, I always do this and am more than happy to publish my work to prove previous builds right (or sometimes wrong :embarassed: ).

My Question:
I've searched around some IAS Calculators (German) and found only that it produces unusual results that I refuse to trust as correct. I am hoping for someone to show me the light with a better calculator for wearwolf form attacks.

Either that, or someone to illustrate the differences between weapon ias and gear ias.

My Idea:
I was thinking to avoid the 4 shael, 2 ias jewel phase blade weapon, and hop on a different boat: 40 ias Grief with a 15 ias jewel in the helm, and Nosferatu's belt. This will give me a total of 65 IAS, thereby hitting the second-to-last IAS Breakpoint at 61.

However, I'm not sure how the weapon IAS stacks with the gear IAS (if at all!) and which true breakpoint I will hit with this biuld idea.

My plan:
I would be knowingly sacraficing a 5/5 psn facet in the helm, and reducing some critical mods on the dungo's, but I'd be gaining a lot more physical damage and poison damage from my grief. I'm going to calculate the damage with both build ideas per hit and per second, to find the greater average damage of the two builds.

As a secondary objective, I'm going to repeat the experiment with the Grief and 120ias'd GThresher and compare their damages.

Summary:
To sum it all up, does anyone know where I can find reliable IAS data?

That's a great calculator, but it doesn't want to combine my weapon ias with nonskill ias. It seems to tell me that ias on my gear won't stack with IAS on my weapon. is this true?

Yeah, that is correct. Wereforms only take into account weapon ias and skill IAS(werewolf, fant, etc)

Another option is a 4 socket Griz Caddy, won't be as fast as a phase but if your your intend is pvm, can be an option.

Darn, so items like Nosferatu's and 15 ias'd helms won't be calculated at all in my attack speed?

Fury and Rabies is a whack *** build anyways... go one or the other, otherwise your losing out on good life/ar, etc.

I apreciate the advice, but I'm stupid enough to have to do it the hard way. I think I'll learn more this way :p (plus, I have 75% of the gear and I'm levl 76... oh wait, just lvl'd... 77)
