I think better help would be getting you some info on how to build a 'good' character.

Could you, with the best sword in the world, defeat a swordmaster when he uses a low quality sword(not talking brittle here, just very unbalanced) ?

Asking for help in the form of items is not usefull if you don't understand the basics on how to use them properly.
Just read trough these forums, ask lots of questions. There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid answers.
A proper distribution of skills will go a lot further then having godly items. The latter will come anyway once you've mastered the first.

Oh, and welcome, I hope you enjoy your stay here and in the realm of Diablo. :)

if you hadn't said ladder, I could help. So far, I don't, and haven't played ladder.

I haven't even investigated really playing it. The whole idea of "Season' and/or Battlenet just deciding to reset everyone for another season just doesn't sit too well with me.

I've been playing for 16 months or so, and am still experimenting like made with some of the more basic builds.

e.g. the played out hammerdin, I've got an 88
the blizzer, again, I've got an 88
mf barbarian - lvl 87, (he uses a 246 mart)
and a boat load of hybrid characters, or run of the mill bonenecro's, chanters, foher's and such all in the 70s

the chanter, boner and foher are as close to a "perfect" build as I have done, and even they dont' meet the standards of the old timers here I'm sure.

my din, and blizzer, most here woudl remake, as I didn't have proper gear when making them, and thus (especially the din) have too much str, or other stats

You told me online that you wanted to make a good pvm zon. I would go with a lightning zon, or even a plauge zon if your feeling over zealous. To do this effectivly, you will need a good high def, high res, good blocking sheild. I can show you what something like that looks like if I see you online, something like a purple grim would do you in for that. I would not invest any points into your valkerie, it looks appealing but they suck in hell cs unless you max them out. Here are the skills you should max and the order I did them in.
1 point into Jab
1 point into power strike
1 point into dodge
Then pump power strike until you can get charged strike.
The thing with Passive skills is you will want to only put about 6-11 max in all fo them. When they hit up around 30-40% they only give 1% every skill point, so I only put that many into them. Youll see what I mean, make sure you check the additions next level. I have a really spiffy skill building tool located

That will help you plan you skills.

I use twitch for my zon, but you may want to even go G skin for the res's. My zon is pvp. A helm, you want a decent def helm that will add to life. Boots, and belts stuff like that are pretty standard, I mean you could go bloodfist for the IAS and life. Stat points, those are where a zon can swim or sink. You want to pump just enough strength to wear the armor of choice, and no dex unless you need it for an item. You want everything else in Vitality. You will need as much life as possible. Light Javs are really based on synergies, and you dont want to pump points into lightning strike. It really doesnt do any good in my opinion. You are going to want to max out charged strike and lightning fury most defintly, everything elese just use for synergies.

Rings and ammy, well ammy is going to want to be a + to skills of course, and rings could me adding to life, add to strength so you can add more to vit, or even Sojs? This is my first attempt at writing any sort of guide, but that skill planning thing I mentioned really helps alot. Ive used it for most of my chars. Here it is again in case you missed it.

Some links are allowed. Best would be to try and keep it in the diabloii.net domain.
Disallowing links is more for our safety and we can't quite expect Dacar to do a complete clean-sweep of every link and all it's sublinks. There could be nasty scripts, trojans or keyloggers there. And anything within the diabloii.net domain can be considered 'safe'.
