life tap and ubers

i only play SP, but ive seen a lot of topics about how life tap is necessary to defeat the ubers. the main way of getting life tap from what i am reading is to use a wand with life tap. granted you can have multiple players play at the same time, but what about those who solo uber trist but can someone explain how is it possible for non-necros to use such wands with life tap? i do know that there are RWs that grant you life tap, but i'm not including those.

Also, you are using wands with CHARGES of life tap, not wands with +x life tap [necros only].

There is also a pair of unique gloves which has a chance to cast lifetap.

oh, just wondering cuz i've never seen a wand with and life tap charges to them, only the ones that give the bonuses to necros

When you say you only play SP, do you mean you play alone on B.net? Because you cannot open portal to ubers in single player games (even though there are keys), unless you use some mods. If you use mods, you can use ladder runeword mod to get Last Wish and Exile, which have chances to cast Life Tap on strike as well. In addition, Marrowwalk has Life Tap charges.

wont 5 % chance be too small of a chance?It's enough. You'll be smiting so fast it'll trigger in no time. If you really want safety, use a Life Tap wand, cast it before you fight, then use the 5% from Dracs to sustain it.

Also, if your a paladin, the RW Exile has a 15% chance to cast lifetap on striking.
So if you combine that with Drac's, you should be fine without a wand.

Or just play with a Necro. ;-)
