What the best weapon is depends on if you play pvm, pvp etc. In general, ebotd GPA or eth Tomb Reaver are the most wanted/popular.

Those mentioned by lorven are both highly effective but also somewhat costly

Good 1 handed Weps:

Oath Ba
Botd Ba
Stormlash
Gris Weapon 4 sockets


2 handed:

Eth tomb
Botd Gpa

oath in ethereal cryptic swoard/scourge reaches 5 frames, it is good one handed weapon until you get botd or grief.
also, if you can get 1.09 cruel cryptic sword of quickness, it is great, 4 frame weapon
