Would they be decent in team duels?? Say a dragon based auradin on a sorc + barb team. . .

Long holy fire range chinks away at the "defensive" teams (teams who just sit and spam)

Pulse damage kills minions?? Makes Summoners/druids soo much easier.

Conviction is nice

Hits everyone at once!!!

Makes people wear fire absorb or res gear (enhances the effectiveness of the sorc and barb)

Charging in circles makes it hard to kill

i'd rather be partied with a faithzon and hammerdin to be honest, auradins are just far, far too boring.

I think that an fire/shock auradin with a 50k light sorc would be pretty sick.

Faithzon and hammerdin teams are very strong but I think an auradin w/ good support would ultimately defeat any such team. Auradin charges along the outside of the minimap, pulses the other team while barely if ever getting hit by a long distance multi or ga. Forces that team to either over sorb (hard to do on a bowzon) or chase. But the thing here is that the hammerdin is needed to guard the zon because zons are lousy chasers, even w/ harmony they can't keep up w/ a charging/teleporting hammerdin.

So in this scenario, either the team will have to be divided making the zon easy pray for the auradin's team mates, or they will just have to sitback and hope they somehow kill the auradin from afar.

I'm a hammerdin, and even with conviction and lower res on me my res remains 75 in all stats. But I find Auradins are easily defeated by using salvation. Or simply just hammerdin them. Their auras won't damage anyone unless conviction is on or your res is negative. Even with 0 res an aura's pulse is very weak. It requires negative res to be very damaging.

auradin + good frozen orb or blizz sorc or any other sorc = GFG
conviction drops ur res by alot and gg absorbing light/fire + cold and cold mastery -%s

Conviction takes time to activate. If you're smart you tele into it, then tele out by the time it activates. No worries anyways, because conviction cannot break my stacked res as it is. It's a simple switch of gear for the + res. But I agree. Cold sorces are nasty. :/ Even without conviction.

Arent you the one who called BvCs a "lame characters" because they can (but dont need to) go to stash, switch items vs someone and go duel him lolz xD First think of yourself XD

Auradin + trapper is HARD to beat. In pub duels if I ever got teamed with a trapper it was pretty much everyone else stayed dead till I feel happy. If the trapper is really good, it takes nothing less than stupidly stacked res to win. If it's a 3v3 you can add a lot of things to make it nearly unbeatable. A bone necro with those two is just about impossible to beat since the necro negates anyone who has stacked res.

surely auradin, blizz sorc, fireball sorc would be even worse because people would need to stack all 3 resists to do anything?

Well actually, the optimal team for elementals would be:
ES FB'ers max block high DR 105% FCR
Fohadin with perf griffon, foh scep and a pala shield with 20/20
A Blizz sorc

This makes it so that if you do not stack lightning, you die in ~1-4 hits, if you do, you die to fb's or blizz, no matter what. Pretty much a team that can beat anything, except this:

Wind druid with 163% fcr bp, high life, high lvl oak
BvC
Bonemancer with Amplify dmg

As this team does _huge_ dmg (1530 per nado, ~900 per whirlwind hit), has huge life (bo, oak), and has the best ranged offense in the game in their team (IBS). But even for such a team it's a hard duel.

Personally I consider these 2 teams the best possible out there.
