Ok, so I'm planning on making a character for Pvp in PUB duels, so I have to expect to be BM'd and able to work around it...IMO if the other person BMs I do.

Glitched merc IMO ruins the fun of dueling, any build that relies on this is not an option.

I have decided between a BvC (able to swap melee gear), light java, Blizz sorc. My budget is about 16-17 HRs atm. If I were to make a BvC, CoA would be excluded and replaced. If I were to make a blizz, fathom would be replaced with HOTO, and if I were to make a javazon Griffs would likely be excluded.

I want your opinions on what would be the most versatile setup to win the most amount of duels. Again, I'm open to other suggestions but if it relies on A3 merc then nty. I was also considering a desynch hammerdin...

I've only played a few months since 1.10 ended so I'm a little behind on things, just some questions...

1) I'm assuming CB's have been fixed to apply conditions such as OW, CB, DS, CS?
2) How do you desynch hammers/charge? -_-
3) For my BvC setup I was thinking Doom+Beast, any other suggestions? (LW is not an option, too expensive =p IMO not good unless it's a zealer anyways)
4) Can you use the runeword 'Treachery' to apply fade to a character that's not an assasin? or even wear it?
5) If I can't use CoA/Griffs, what are my best other options? (arreat/valk?)
6) How do you FC?
7) If I were to namelock on a BvC, what skill do you suggest namelocking with?
8) Lastly, should I use 20 or 40 FCR on a BvC?

Thanks in advance for your help =) hope to make a great verastile character...but I don't want the fun ruined by BM xD gotta clean up the mess when it comes at you.

1. ?
2. Get a fare amount of FRW and charge around with vigor on laying down random hammers.
3. Doom / Beast is a good combo. Doom isnt needed tho. Try something with a little more dmg like Grief or Botd.
4. Yep
5. Arrets
6. By switching from a ranged attack to another. IE. On a CS zon you hotkey throw and CS, throw then quickly switch to CS.
7. Teleport / Unsommon.
8. Depends on your opponent.

I hope this helps

Yeah thanks. =D

As for question #1, I meant to ask zerker's not colosuss =D sorry. In v1.10 zerkers were bugged and didn't apply coniditons like open wounds, that's why a bunch of people used colossus BOTD and such. Just double-checking it's fixed, but I'm assuming it is because everyone uses zerkers now.

And that method of FC will allow me to stand far off screen too and just auto hit people? hehe, sorry just curious.

Still unsure whether to go BvC blizz or java though =( I'm thinking not Blizz though because I don't want to lose to someone who drinks 10000 thawing potions so they can resist through my cold mastery, then I'd be screwed completely.

Yes

Not too sure on this one myself. I think you charge around (lots of frw + vigor) setting up hammerfields causing some hammers to go invisible.
3) For my BvC setup I was thinking Doom+Beast, any other suggestions? (LW is not an option, too expensive =p IMO not good unless it's a zealer anyways)
Greif + Beast Berserker Axes
4) Can you use the runeword 'Treachery' to apply fade to a character that's not an assasin? or even wear it?
Yes, use Treachery to activate fade and then switch it out
5) If I can't use CoA/Griffs, what are my best other options? (arreat/valk?)
Arreats, Shako / rare circlet
6) How do you FC?

7) If I were to namelock on a BvC, what skill do you suggest namelocking with?
Teleport
8) Lastly, should I use 20 or 40 FCR on a BvC?
usually 20 fcr, 40 for sorcs and necros if you want to play aggressively

Most hammerdin players will tell you. Charge is only affected by vigor and therefore frw are not needed and they'll be right.
