Hello guys,
I have just started back to diablo II since the big ban of 1.09. UNFORTUNITLY I am relearning everything. I used to LOVE barb dueling. I know everything has changed so much, but I used to have 4 pvp barbs of all masterys. I was uber but not anymore. Fortunitly now, I have a brother that can give me anything I need. I am glad for that. But the only thing is, is my lack of knowledge on how to design a barb.
I need to know what all the uber barbs are currently using for weps/sheild/helm/and ammy and rings. I just need to know if everything is pretty much the same. I wanted to go with fortitude armor and just rely on vit charms and deck the rest of my points into str. I don't know, people have gotten ungodly good. There is things that blow my mind now. PLEASE someone tell me everything I need to do to own. I need to know what everyones using for gear. Ohh! and whats the best things to use for BO weps???

There are 3 main types of pvp barbs:
BvC - barb vs. caster
BvB - barb vs. barb / melee opponents
BvA - barb vs. all
Stats
Str - enough to use your gear
Dex - enough for max block (if using a shield), or enough for gear
Vit - All
Energy - none
Skills
WW - 20
BO - 20
Axe mastery - 20
BvC - 14 in into leap, rest into shout
BvB - max shout, rest into iron skin
1 point - prereqs, incr speed, and nat resistance
Gear
BvC - Greif Berserker axe, Beast Ba, Arreats / Crown of Ages, low str Enigma, Dracs, Arachs, 2x ravenfrosts, highlords, gores / resist, fhr, +stat boots
Other gear - Fortitude, angelic combo, widowmaker, 2xDoom ba's, wc weapons
BvB - Greif Ba, Stormshield, Fortitude, Dracs, Verdungo's, 2x ravenfrosts, highlords, gores
Other gear - angelic combo, wc weaps
BvA - Basically a mix of both BvB and BvC.
War cry weapons - +3 to all wc's, could be easily bought from Malah in act 5 hell. Daggers are the best bet since they take up the least amount of space but spears or axes would work just as well.
Note: For the Greif Ba, the weapon must have >34 ias, since the ww breakpoint for 1 handed weapons is -34.
Charms
Anni, Torch, max/ar/life sc's. Ar/life charms are good as well as 20 life sc's.
Basic Strategy
BvC - use leap to knockback opponent, tele-lock thier name, triangle ww around target
BvB - tri-whirl opponent

stat distribution isnt that accurate considering you said yourself there's 3 types of builds. i know pleanty of people that pump str into their bvb baba's

Good point, adding strength gives some enhanced damage right? Like 1 point in str = 1% ed, or something like that?

yep, theres another thing(other than pure luck)that decides what wins bvb ;p
raw damage/highdef barb(lowlife)>bva>OW barb(highlife)>rawdamage barb or something like that ;x
i also just realized how stupid the guy is that said there's 3 main baba builds?
never dueled singers? never dueled conc barbs? never seen a baba throw some ****? lol. maybe not as common as the popular 3, but cmon', can't forget singers now o.O

Singers, I guess there's a few but those listed are the main ones because they're all-around more effective than conc/throw...so that's why he said 'Main'. Singers are a completely different thing though, and yeah that should have been listed.

You just misinterpreted what he said.
He said there were three TYPES of barbs, not three BUILDS. Those are completely different. For example, if I say there are three TYPES of Necro: Poison, Bone, or Summon; three types of Druid: Elemental, Summon, or Shapeshifting. We're not here to argue how many BUILDS there are, because that would take ages to name them all.
I'm just hoping that you won't call someone stupid again in the future until you think deeply about what he or she has said.

bvb,bvc,bva all rely on griefz/ebotdz with beastz/or SS. thats a very narrow minded statement when you say those are the 3 types of barbs lol

So let me get this straight, I post some information on what I consider to be the most popular pvp barbs (BvA/B/C) and I get called stupid because I didn't post anything about singers, conc's, zerkers, and throwers? My post was meant to give some brief information on the current / popular pvp barbs, which you even admit:

You people are ridiculous. He specifically said they are the MAIN types, not the ONLY types. And if you actually think Singers, Conc Barbs, Zerkers, and Throwers are competitive with WW Barbs, you are on crack.

uhh all this aruging is scaring me but
If your brother can give you anything you need, how about a BvC? Ask around in barb's forum and check barb guides. BvC's are really powerful, and with a bit of practice you will be back owning the pvp scene. I miss 09.

n something to add for this thread, if u really have some1 to give u items u should really make a bvc, they r like very cool now but it really takes practices n more practices to use them efficiently
played nothing but a bvc for about 3 months straight, then acct got hacked, so im burnt out on em. hella fun though, and if played right one of the best pub chars. worked excellent for me

The trick is super useful, especially in a free-for-all. You just hotkey unsummon, near teleport on your keyboard. Unsummon namelock them with right mousebutton, while still holding down the right mousebutton, you switch to teleport.

Heh. You hardly have a basis for calling anyone random. If anything, we're all randoms, you included. My point was, that You have no place to tell others to get friends, when you yourself were begging US for items - which had you friends, you would've checked with them first, unless you're just so greedy you'd try to milk others out on the pity card - when you got facepwnt and lost your gear.
You entered a peaceful discussion, and started ****. Essentially, the only conclusion that could logically be derived from your posting habits is that, deep deep down you're ohso insecure, and constant reminders (however delusional) of your apparent superiority, by insulting others, and trolling it up is the only thing that'll keep you sane.
