Are summoning Druids good?

Im just wondering if summoning druids are good, b4 i go and make one.

high +skills (+10 or more)
HoW spirit
might merc
maybe pride or faith/beast if you are rich

yes they do damn well in hell, with just 3 dire wolves

Pride is a bit of a waste really, it honestly doesn't add all that much.

Summoners rock! My killed hell diablo (alone) While two other players were trading. I only lost my merc because i ran out of juvs.

You will want some form of anti-physical immune. The best way to go with this is a lacerator on weapon switch - non etheral ones are really cheap / pgem's on ladder.

except the monster flee often overrides the amp

There's nothing fun about them imo.

You need too much for them to be good. The only blessing is their gcs are dirt cheap.

Most dissappointing class after a curser necro but those don't exist...

Summoning necro is the one build where you don't need to have good equipment with in order to be good.

i have a cursenecro :thumbsup:

the funny thing about sumondruids is:

1] they are rare as hell
2] it is harder to play with them as a necro
3] you hve more choices to make: dire wolves or bear in some situations?
4]it isnt easy to defeat hell with them and with a summonnecro it is
5] the summon necrohimself does attack while a summon necro just teles or walks around casting curses

I have a rather nice summon druid using 9x30+ summon gcs. Kicks teh *** against sorcs and assasins but I honestly have to say that I've never seen a more dissapointing build against windies, hammerdins and all melee.
