does cold mastery work to full potential in pvp? so at like level 40 it does -230ish res? so it puts people in the negatives? or is that only a pvm thing?

yup, with an infinity merc its pretty much impossible to stack res vs cold sorc^^

Add LR from a wand and then you will need ~555 cold res to have 75 :D Seems pretty impossible, IMO. But it is possible though:

180 (BA)
100 (kiras)
60 (fade)
40 (torch+anni)
30 (maras)
160 (shield)
40 (boots)
-------------
Total 610% cold res

But that cripples almost any build.
