Good Bear?

i was looking for bear guide but dont find anything.Can anyone suggest me what would be good setup (skills+items)

Here you go...found on page 3. Even though it's basically written for pvp...the skills and some of the equipment are still able to be used for pvm.

I myself have started making one...and like the bear over wolf.

If you are going strictly pvm i see no need for max block...or even a shield for that matter.

Enough strength for equipment...also if you have a druid torch or anni take the strength from them into consideration as well...as well as any strength from equipment.

If going with a 2-handed weapon...enough dex to equip it or possibly none depending on equipment/anni/torch.

Obviously rest into vitality.

i never had a bear, but for my ww, i used a ebotd ogremaul... it dealt insane dmg and swung fast cuz of being a druid.

ebotd stands for ethereal breath of the dying runeword weapon. though that person saying it "swung fast cuz of being druid" is just a slight bit stupid. i've never played a bear so i can't really help you anymore than that.

The best pvm bear weapons are tomb reaver (socketed appropiately) and an upped shaeled, or eth upped zod ribcracker. This is IMO, and im sure an ebotd giant thresher/gpa would work as well

I went with a norm defense waheed merc...got him at lvl 2 and leveled him with me.I have not decided which runeword weapon I want to give him yet...but he's wearing a GA/tal's combo right now.

The best one-handed weapon is a 4 socketed griswold/stormshield combo...while for 2-handed weapons either botd gpa or tombreaver would be good enough.

it might be handy, for dealing with the pi's with berserk, but i dont think the dmg is enough, and i dont think u can use zeal or berserk in bear form

i managed to get lightsabre and stormshield for now.But all my res are -50 and more in hell :( and i cant kill s*ite :p

hmm id say you should have gone a bit more damage if pvm, nothing really is gonna hack out around 2k life (which you should hit EASILY) particularly quickly unless ur dumb enough to go hunting in chaos sanc whacking stuff while im'd (iron maidened (necro curse deals 400% or so of your damage back on u)) without a decent level shockwave to stun the noobz, if i was 2 make a werebear cheaply id say something like this:
stats:
str: 200, enough to use any wep (after equip) and get decent damage
dex: 100 or so
vita: rest
energy: none

Skills:
20 werebear
20 maul
20 heart of wolverine
lvl 1 bear (just to tank + cos it looks cool)
rest: shockwave (to stun) after this: what you want, hunger to regain life at some insane speed mb?

Wep: ik maul/buri shael'd (DONT DISS THE BURI, freezes, and massive damage and insane speed)
wep switch: oath in ETH ba or something with storm (oath costs roughly an ist)
Gloves: IK (25% ias after 1 other piece)
Boots: ik (to get the ias)
Belt: oddly enough id say ik again, if you get 4 pieces you get a cool 20% dmg reduce
Armour: Shaft/treachery (30% dmg reduce +60 life or HUGE ias and cool chance of becoming an eth bear or getting a decent venom)
rings: ravenfrost (for cbf, ar, dex) + 8% ll ring possibly other stats
Amulet: eye of etlich/rare one with dru skills and ll or str
helm: jalals/cerebus/gaze

with that sort of equip you should pwn ^^ most of that can be bought for a lem/pgems

he should do fair damage (if you choose ik maul remember u get huge elemental damage cos of set bonuses and larger ar) anyway gl

and pumping HoW
my dex is around 190 (block70+)
str is 200
vit about 100++ ( ?? )

Using the equipment that Zabo is using...my base stats for strength and dex so far is 118 and 127 (75%block) at level 75...and is at 186 and 183 with equipment on and using a 20/19 druid torch and a 18 stat anni.

For my skills so far I have Lycanthropy/Werebear/Maul maxxed so far...HoW is almost done then I'll work on Oak sage...also have 1 pt. in shockwave and get a nice 7.6 stun from it (if the srceen is correct).

You should be looking for a eth version of whatever weapon you plan on using...I seem to find most eth weapons in nm and hell in act4 outside of town over time.

Too late,i made oath to normal axe ^^ it has 200dam now.But my maul damage is 700-1100 :cry:

if i were you'd i'd really consider a 3 os tomb reaver NON-ETH with 3 x shaels in it ... its a relatively cheap weapon since only eth 3 os ones go for the big bucks.

i never used an oath on a mauler so i wouldnt know .. and as HoS said never ever build a wb w/o at least one point in shockwave ....

my 1 hand weapon was a 4 x shael griz caddy when i was budgeting .... its not a bad idea to think of using that.
