help with this mage summoner

hey i wanted to try a dif summoner and i thought of this

skelletal mage 20
skelletal mastery 20
golem mastery 20
fire golem 1 - 20
lower resists 1 - 20

can this build do well alone in pvm?

er mages dont tend to pvm well unless u got godly gears n a godly merc.. coz they have too low hp...

I use mages a lot actually, and they do a very good job, especially against PIs that can't be broken by Amp Damage.

Don't use Fire Golem, he's completely useless - crap damage, lots of mana to cast, and really only does well to attract the monsters to him with his aura. Stick with 1 point each in Clay and Golem mastery - the slow effect that the clay golem has is incredibly useful.

Lower resist will be useful for your mages, but you should probably take the points you were going to put into Fire Golem and throw them into Raise Skeleton - that way clairetay's problem with low hp is irrelevant, because the monsters get to the warriors before they get to the mages. Also, a point in Corpse explosion is incredibly useful.

You do need a decent merc though, if you do decide to get skeletons then I would recommend a might merc from Act 2 Nightmare (he's the offensive one).

get a point in revives and 1 point into golem mastery + clay golem is enough.

if you have only mages hf merc is the way to go :D nm defensive

i thought of fire golem cuz he would draw attention away from the mages
and also benefit from lower resists though he doesnt do much damage anyway. maybe i should just put points into golem mastery? or get a diferent golem?

well if u already will have a decent lvl LR and insist on mages, u could use psnnova. Altough that works better with normal skellies, but hey, whatever u want

hmm interesting...you mages may not do well enough to tank for you...and tend not to deal out as much dmg as skeles...although they do provide a varied amount of attacks =P...

like blue dragon says..lower res goes very nicely with Psn skills nec....

and definately 1 pt into revives (these will probably be youre real tanks)

Welcome Newcomer to The Darkness. Grab a brew (http://www.lgl.bayern.de/de/left/fachinformationen/lebensmittel/warencodes/_images/bier.jpg) and feel free to raise some corpses.

That build not so much. Try doing a search for Lord of Mages. It should give you some threads and ideas.
