View Full Version : Is iron golem made from indestructable item destructble?

as topic.

Assume i make iron golem with for example a wizardspike, will it be destructable.. or immune to Physical attack .. ?

Also according to the golem faq, charged item golem will disappear between games. So a BEAST golem will disappear?

What "charged item golem" means, is a golem casted by charges from Metal Grid. But if you make a Iron Golem out of a Beast with a natural necromancer, it will not dissapear until it dies.

If that necromancer doesn't have at least one point in Iron Golem it will still disappear.

It does not inherit that property.

oh yea..

I think i am going to make an EBOTD war pike / T Maul Iron Golem.

Does weapon range affect golem's attack range? =]

sounds like really expensive & bad idea. when making iron golem crushing blow is much more useful than high dmg.

ik's stone crusher and windhammer are great and cheap items for IG.

If you want an aura on a golem, the cheapest thing and most effective would probably be an Insight polearm. Beast, Infinity, Pride, etc will all work if you're insanely rich or just insane..

But yeah.. amods I like is Crushing Blow (easily found on Windhammer, or IK Maul).

I normally make my Iron Golem out of junk I find during key runs. Tomb, IK Maul, Bonehew, stuff like that. I also like Open Wounds.

BTW, does that Aura Golem really work? I made one out of insight and it didn't do the meditation aura. =\ I find Sols all the time on Countess key runs, so no problem, but I really wish it did work for me. =(

it should work...did you make it in the wright pole arm?

something like spears won't give aura....

better yet...did the aura work before you made it into an IG?

Yeah, my Merc has an insight since I need the meditation with my Fishy. I made a new Insight on a weaker polearm so my Merc doesn't one-hit himself with Iron Maiden on Chaos 4. His old Insight was what I used for the Iron Golem. It provided no aura and I can't unequip and re-equip like I do with my merc to activate the aura.

My guess was, maybe like the A2 merc, it needs to battle a bit before it turns the aura on. I tried letting my golem fight around Cold Plains and, unfortunately it didn't work. So now I hear about these Aura Golems and I am wondering what is going wrong with mine. I've used 3 Insights so far testing this (and I put the runes in correct order and everything), and I still dont get the results.

thats really odd...is it just a display issue? can you spam spells and regen quickly even though you can't see the aura? :shocked:

Not a display issue I dont think, I thought it might be but I wasn't able to spam spells like I normally could with meditation aura. I even had my Merc remove his Insight just to make sure. I dont know what is wrong, I never had problems with attributes of a weapon going on my Iron Golems in the past. Im going to login to my friends computer later today or tom.

I checked to make sure that I used Insight, and it was indeed an Insight, I know how to make one.

I checked to make sure I dropped the correct weapon before I Ironed it.

I checked to see if my Golem turns on aura when he leaves town or enters battle.

But he just doesn't like the aura or something lol. Ah well, I suppose it's ok. I just thought it would of been neat if I could make a meditation golem and then just give my merc another spear to fight with, so much for that idea.
