I know that bowazons aren't exactly the strongest char out there but I wonder how a mf bowazon would do? The way I see it, there's two choices which depend on the bow. One, you could go with a chu-ko-nu. Before you say WTF wait and hear me out!! Because of the ckn's very fast speed, all you need is 10ias(actually 7) to reach the final breakpoint of 11fpa. Now, 11fpa isn't all that fast, but I believe it can get the job done with strafe. The damage is about that of a runebow, too.

As far as gear, we have everything free'd up now; all that is needed is goldwrap for the 10 IAS, which has MF itself. The rest of the gear can be used for mf gear and there's an open armor slot for whatever you'd like, maybe goldskin for the resists, silks for the mana leech +1 skills if you would like it, rattlecage/boneflesh are also an option.

Skills, max strafe as the primary weapon, high pierce, high crit, max magic arrow to deal with PI's could be an option for this build and it's cheaper than freezing arrow.

Lastly, if you were to get an amazing rare runebow with 20 IAS, you wouldn't need this ckn build because you can reach a 10 frame strafe with that 20 IAS and goldwrap, but it's a cool thought I think :)

I meant 11/3 strafe for the ckn. That's the fastest ckns can get.
edit: is there any point to try to get resists at all with that gear? In hell you will have negatives no matter what with that setup.

You dont need resists for flayer with some life and a nice valk. If i were to mf anywhere else, i would use resist gear, but then i wouldnt be able to kill fast enough while surviving and having decent mf... zons are in general better suited to semi glass cannons, although you can get 800+ life with maxed resists AND 300+ dex fairly easily


EDIT: CHU KO NU??? are you crazy? theey suck!!!!! Gothic bow needs 20 ias for 11/3 and its damage is *much* bigger. Meh. Personally i prefer 2 fpa strafe... :S

Where do you get your information? The tables say for a 11/3 strafe with a gothic bow you need 42 IAS.

Oops. Well, i meant to say 20 ias is required for a 12/3fpa strafe, which is the same basiically.

'Listen up people. WIth strafe, the second breakpoint is pretyty much all that matters, 3 fpa. The diffirence in frame between 12 and 11 for the inital shot results in a really minimal damage loss, not worth the extra ias if you are pure strafe.

20 is all you need w/ a gothic, (60 for guided/MS)

Mf Zons seem like a waste of time to me but if your just in it to have fun then you can knock your socks off with this build

Would work really well if you had an enchant sorc also, Zon uses ravenclaw + maxed multi arrow. Enchant the zon and spam multi arrow I`m sure this would be good for nightmare cow runs and cs maybe?

Multi and raven doesnt send out multiple exploding arrows, so either just go raven ench and normal attack, or get a proper bow with ench and multi.

But with a Zon you can use her piercing attack.(or so I've been told on here)
So Raven+ench+pierce ftw. :)
Or if you don't have a ench avail, try without and let us know the results.

But if your not going to use the "Fires explosive arrows/bolts" mod on the raven, then there is no point in using the bow. A High dmg bow or much faster speed bow would be much more beneficial. If your looking for AoA on a bow, the certainly go with Raven, but if your looking for dmg or speed go with atleast a double bow.

Though, if you do have access to an enchantress personaly id go with a MS or Strafe zon with a Rouge's Bow. Can't hardly beat the speed and added deadly strike.
