View Full Version : How to get Experience past level 99... no help from Flavie

Ok, so I finally hit level 99 with my Hardcore Hammerdin and noticed that I hadn't yet completed the first quest in norm. So I fire up a game and start looking for the Den of Evil to complete my character (or so I thought).

Well, I must have missed the Den because I find myself walking up to a rogue named Flavie. I figured I might ask her for directions while at the same time grabbing the Cold Plains waypoint just a few steps beyond.

She never mentioned as to where the Den might be, but to my astonishment she would not let me pass to get to the Cold plains waypoint. She kept saying that she could tell that I needed "more experience to fight safely in the next wilderness."

Does Flavie know something I don't? Sure, I see a few fallen in the road ahead to the waypoint, but are they Uber Fallens or something, monsters that can only spawn in normal after you reach level 99, and that are immune to all and can 1 hit kill or something?

I really don't want to doubt her experience (after all, she's been hanging there a long time), and remember: this is Hardcore, so I don't really want to take any chances especially after investing all the time to obtain this level.

So what should I do? How can I get more experience so that I might pass onward to the Cold plains waypoint?

Lol? Seriously? Wow... hc weird. I don't think there are any "uber fallens" or something or else I would've atleast heard about it.

u cant be serious, wat she means is that u must kill all mosters in den so she will let u pass if this is a joke its not funny btw flavie is a lvl 1 rogue who got assigned there b/c no1 likes her and they want her to die
also u cannot lvl up past lvl 99

She might tell you not to go on, but she doesn't hold you back, so you are free to ignore her and move on to get that waypoint - if you dare ! Remember, this is HC and you have to be cautious not to lose your L99 character to an act 1 normal fallen - be careful !!!

I think Flavies warning should be taken very seriously. After all, she is trusted with the guarding of the gate to the Blood Moor, only a few steps from the camp of the rogues...

My suggestion would be to maybe sparr with a few of the fallens in the Moor, and not try to engage them straight in the Cold Plains. Maybe that's the kind of experience Flavie was referring to? In the Cold Plains, the fallen have backup you know, so they can be tougher than it seems.

haha that's awesome...
although it'd be boring beating the entire game on norm and NM with a lvl 99 guy....

there are no ubers in norm

i made a lvl 99 hardcore (with shadowmaster, for testing)
and i walked passed her

I don't think they have backup but they can get back up. (Ar ar)

Thanks for the laugh, compubuy. Very amusing.
