(Probably) yet another question on mercs...

I'm sorry, but the search function turns up a solid white screen each time, and the first few pages I've sifted through had no answer. My issue is described in this following image:

The act 2 merc I have was levelled a couple dozen times. The act 1 merc I have saw a few levels on her own.

As I've always pondered swapping out mercs now and then, and I'm wondering if this will lower their stats at all. I've heard it doesn't matter, but when screenshots tell me this...

The displayed stats on the purchase screen are incorrect. You can ignore them. Buy a new merc and you'll see that the stats are what they're supposed to be.

The Ultimate Merc Guide 3.0 (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=306061) seems to be mostly correct. Note that the stats for each merc are for "normal" versions of the merc (with the exception of the act 2 mercs that can only be bought in nightmare).

I prefer calling it "hiring", even though I never heard of a merc quitting because of lacking payment or bad treatment and they will die happily for our questionable goals :laugh:

For example, my meteorb sorc lets Nihlathak live (she already has the waypoint), forcing Anya to keep the portal to Pindle open :smiley:

Admit it, you only do it to get back the equipment.Come to think of it, I do often resurrect them, strip them, and then fire them in favor of a new merc. :shocked:
