Hi yas. :wave:

I was wondering which helm my Act5 merc should use.:scratch:

If I can choose between Veil of Steel and Crown of Theives, which should I put on my merc, ( Can post the Stats if you need) or is there an all around better helm out there for an act5 merc?


The other slots I plan to fill up with a Stone Archon and EbotdCB.

The most important mods to give your merc is life leech, defense, dmg red and resists IMO. Between the 2 helms you have suggested i think i would have picked the crown of thieves because of its leech but it depends on what other gear he has. Another great choice would be Vamp gaze ( leech and DR ). So he is using botd, oh well then the leech from Cot may be excesive, if he has bad res go with veil of steel then :wave:

Tal's helm -> 10% LL, 15all rez

Your merc will be tough

act 2 nm defensive. holy freeze in other words. get him a 2 skt coa with jewels of your choice. eth stone archon works on, eth upped shaft works ok. any high defence dmg reduction armour is good. eth leviathens is a very nice choice.

as for weapon if you want never ending mana get him eth elite insight. otherwise any high damage weapon works good. my personal fav is eth obediance cryptic. eth botd warpike works fine also, you get the idea.. :D

edit: out of your 2 chouces..crown of thieves, your merc needs ll and it has ok other mods also.

The best hammerdin merc is an insight act2 merc.But for act5 mercs I would use a nice arreat's and a shaftstop.
