View Full Version : exceptional/elite item drop stage
how do you know in what Act, Area, and/or Difficulty certain exceptional/elite items can be dropped?
what i mean is that is there a rule that says things like only monsters after NM act X will drop certain sorts of items and only monsters after hell act X will drop certain stuff?
and when i combined 3 lvl 10+ ammies in my h. cube, a lvl 1 or some low lvl ring popped up, is that supposed to happen? and how do i get higher lvl rings?

Regarding which monster drops what, download ATMA and use the drop calculator in the "utility" menu. See my sig for a link.
Regarding the 3 ammies -> ring recipe, the new ring will be generated randonly, so it can be the same crap as the ammies you put into the cube. It's just an extra chance for a ring after you gathered 3 crap ammies. The new item level is 3/4 of the character level which decides about the possible affixes of the ring. See d2data for a list of affixes together with the level required. The link is found in my sig as well.
Hi.
Does atma work on battlenet? :)
No, you can mule via Atma only on SP. (It's logical, because it works with your save-files stored on your computer). Your BNet characters are stored on Blizzard servers and Atma can't see them.
EDIT: The drop calculator is the same. Everything drops with the same probability on SP and on BNet.
ok. thanks mate for the fast rep
damn...I allmoust pissed my selve when i soo that atma thing...but It was too good to be true in bnet! :wink2: :prop:
I always thought Bnet had a different economy than SP?
I always thought Bnet had a different economy than SP?
Yes, but it is not caused by rarity of the items dropped from monsters/chests, it's caused by "rarity" of duped items.

SP has no economy at all. In SP you can dupe with a few mouse clicks in the Windows explorer, so either you don't trade at all (and some even don't mule at all !) or you trade with trustful people (respectively people who you want to believe that they are trustful  ). However, on single player respectively on open bnet, duping or producing hacked items is so easy that the temptation to do it is rather high.
