Rune/Gem Run help pls

Ok I'm a lvl 56 barb. I'm working on making the Bramble RW for armor. Its 4os and 432 def, white. Ral + Ohm + Sur + Eth. What would be the best way to get ohm and Sur. Would it be worth making the RW? I'll probably be using it till level 76 when I can wear the IK armor.

I have Nlvl 10 Bash, concentrate; Nlvl 20 Bo, Nlvl 15ish Shout, Nlvl 1 double swing. I am wearing IK Helm, gloves, belt, and boots. Armor mentioned above, a +2 WC sword, Sigon shield. (For Bo, Bc, S) and currently using double swing with Fleshrender and Cloudcrack.

Where would the best palace to find NGems+ and runes quickly considering what I have. I used to do norm rushes for forge but died to IM (BROKEN), and am hesitant of trying Diablo with this one.

Why 'Bramble'? Do you realize how rare Ohm and Sur are? The only reasonable way of getting them is to trade a few Ists for each rune, and the resulting mods are only really worth it if you have nothing better to do with your wealth.

What's all this "N" business... Nlvl, NGems?

Nightmare Cows would be your best bet for flawless gems to cube up to perfect gems, but your Barb isn't quite suited for that aside from the fact that he can't even open the portal.

If you think IM is broken in Normal, wait 'til you hit Nightmare and Hell...

Bramble is worth much more than the ik armor youre planing to use after it and its mostly usefull for poison users.. Poison necros in particular.

Haven’t yet learned the rune ranking or values yet, Nlvl = natural level with ought any +skills, Ngem+ normal gems or better.

That is why I’m asking before I go full force after them.

Actually I can open nm cows, jut not quite ready to do them, I got my nm Baal raped.

My bet is that you'll be lvl 76 and using IK armour before you get either Ohm or Sur runes.

The best place to find an Ohm rune is Hell Andariel. Kill her 177,887 times and you'll have an even mony chance of one dropping.

For a Sur, it's Hell Duriel and 311,256 kills for an even money chance.

Your other option is to trade something valuable for duped runes.

I've never heard of the N<item> system either. As far as armor goes there are a few options for you in you are looking for runewords. I suggest trying Lionheart, Hel Lum Fal. For the runes it will give you nice stats and resists, as well as a small damage boost.

its impossibly slow to solo through hell

as for those runes, you could play diablo 2 your whole life and never find either one
