Well my BvC is at a point, where i wanna start spending some of the 170 stat poinst i saved. He is lvl 89 atm, and i plan on taking him to around lvl 94 (maybe higher, depending on whether i like him or not). AnywayI was wondering whether i should go pure vita or use some str and dex to open up the otion of using a heled widowmaker.
And also would it be feasable to use 1xangelic Ring + Amu + 20 dex Raven, to save 20 dex, or would the AR bonus be too low?
or maybe some 20 ias/15 str/ xx dex gloves instead of dracs, or woul i really miss the OW?
atm moment i have follwoing gear:
Eni MP
Forti AP
Grief BA
Beast BA
Botd BA
2x Doom BA
Dracs
Gores
Arreats 39ed/9 str jool
Arreats Um'ed
Arreats clean (for aed/ias if i decid to use widowmaker)
CoA Ber Ber
Arach
average Dungos
OW belt with 29 str (other stats crap)
20 stat torch
20 stat anni
20 dex raven
2x nice fcr rings
2x BO balanced Knifes
Stats at lvl 89
Str: 30
Dex: 20
Vita: 300
Ener: 10
170 stat points remaining
skills:
20 Axe mastery
20 WW
20 BO
8 Leap
2 Nat res
1 Shout
1 Berserk
1 Increased speed/stam
x prereqs
19 remaining: how many in leap/Nat res/Increased speed/shout?
Any sort of help would be great
am also hoping for input from expierienced Hammerdins who have duelled both types of BvCs...

I dont know about this forti/widow related things, but I finished play barb just because of lots of time spending near stash.. Using fort/widow means even more time spending in town and prebufing.
If you like gm 1vs1 duels , raise str/dex for those items. If like sit in pubs just put all points in vita , thats my opinion :)

i use 64 base str /5x dext bvc
i can equip widow with angelic amulet and ring+raven.
I use duress and crafted 30 str ow belt with life and fhr modes, this allowes me to use coa and pretty much high ow really help when dueling hammerdins , smiters or other bvc's
My BvC uses 65/49, and he can use tgod+fortitude+beast/grief+coa, or forti+arreat+tgod+dual angelic rings+widowmaker.
I'd suggest enough points for fortitude/whateverarmor+arreat+dual angelics, so that you can tear apart those hammerdins (20k ar+guided=gg).
Wait, Ce, your BvC can TGod/Fort/Grief/Beast/CoA, but can't switch in arreats without Tgods? =S
I have a 55/42 setup (duped boots I used have 7 dex).

I _can_ use arreats without tgod, but why use something else when there's no need? As I cannot bother with a OW STR belt, but I do have a few of those.

thx for all the input! (seems like i'm gonna go widow)
Would someone like to comment on skill placement?
also, if i used 15/15 SSTs instead of Gores, would that be a viable option?

I'd say max leap. Put 4 more points into increased speed, Nat res is really a decision you have to make for yourself. 3 pts. base isn't a bad solution.
SST is out of the question In my opinion. It doesn't provide any useful mods, further you will need boots with Resistance and tgods to reach 138 str. So you can wear Forti/Tgods/Rare Res boots/CoA.

Wait, why do you need angelics? Isn't guided arrow ITD? (<--Novice player)

I think it is for the weapon switch back to grief/beast to WW when they tele on you, etc.

k, thx, but i emant, just when using Widowmaker vs Hammerdins where I would have: SSTs/ OW belt with lots of str/ Forty/ Arreats ed/ias
vs which type character would u use your set up?

Personally I use Widowmaker+Fortitude+Arreat+tgod+draculs+angelic+g rief/beast+gores versus hammerdins. Versus fohers: Widowmaker+120 light res armor 83 life, tgod, angelics, triple resistance boots, ort'ed kiras, draculs, grief/beast, results in ~400 light res and 15k ar. Versus V/t's or T/V's= Widowmaker+120 armor+tgod+angelics+triple resistance boots+coa berber+draculs+grief/beast, results in high light res, 28% dr, ~15-16k ar, without enchant. Versus ES sorcs: Enigma+grief/beast+widowmaker+2x fcr rings/ravenfrosts+arreats+triple resistance boots+arachnid+draculs, results in 25% OW, ranged offensive capability, 20-40% fcr, max resistances, teleport.
