i saw this in a dueling game, anyone care to explain

I was dueling a blizz sorc in a pub game and after we unhostiled to duel with other chars he was teleing arround with summons (as if he was a summoner). So is this granted by charges from his equipment or what?
I dont know anything about sorc , and this might be a trivial question but if someone can enlighten me about that ill apreciate it.
