Hi everyone.

First question, what is the ultimate armor for a hammerdin to use?

I currently have a Skin of the Vipermagi:
279 def
30% fcr
120% enhanced def
+33 all res
magic dmg reduced by 10
1 os

Second question, what would be the best thing to stick in that open socket?

I am thinking maybe Ith rune for 15% dmg goes to mana....?

Thanks

The ultimate armor for a hammerdin would be the Enigma.
Vipermagi is a good alternative if you don't have one.

If you're not rich, I would suggest pruby for life or ptopaz for mf.

What would be the best type of armor to make Enigma from?

Arhcon plate is probably the most popular choice. Lots of def and looks hot. But some go with the Mage plate or the Dusk shroud. The advantage of Mage plate is the lower str requirement, so you can put more towards your vitality, but there is a nice chunk of def taken away. But most just grab some str charms so they can use the Archon. The lower str requirement is the same thing for the Dusk, but it's the appearance of wearing quilted armor which is ugly, IMO.

But all are pretty expensive to get from a trade.

que-hegan is pretty good faster cast and 1+ skill and other things

que-hegan is pretty good faster cast and 1+ skill and other thingsI'd say Vipermagi trumps Que-Hegans, and it's just as easy to find or trade for.

ANY Elite light armor with a lower than 105 str requirement is the best armor. If you are making a char with 0 pts into str then use a Mage plate or a Breast Plate.

or just use the str bug, for a 105 str one (makes u look naked though which freaks my m8s out cos they dont know how it works, noobz) lets say you have +40 str from current equip (anni torch + other), then 25 or whatevas base str, then you add two rings with 18-20 str or ring + amu with 25-30, so now you get +40 or so more str which is what enigma gives you @ lvl 80, equip your enidma, take off rings which will cause str bug which means that enigmas str is contributing towards its own str requirement, so you could EASILY use dusk/mp without adding a single point in str, i reccomend keeping at least 2 inventory slots open + if/when you die you put your + str rings on (or amu), click on ur corpse after they're equipped all equip should come on except the rings/amu because there slots already taken and will place themselves in ur inventory. Basically @ level 80 +40 to ur current str then go for either dusk/mp/ap depending what str you reach (presuming that your not using + str armour atm, which u arnt ^^)

i wouldnt say mage plate deprives the defence alot. my hammerdin is lvl 88 and has 18k def with holy shield, I believe this is already good enough even for pvp so mage plate is probably the best choice if you want low str requirement and high def
( or dusk if you dont mind the looks).
i think vipermagi is probably a good choice for liberator as they dont really rely on teleport but rather on chrge while still having 125 fcr
