Why don't I hear more people talk about using upgraded uniques? It seems to me that they can become quite good. The bonesnap for example can become a 220 to 308 dmg when its an ogre maul, and even more when you make it elite.

I just don't hear anyone talk about it. Do you guys do this or.....

P.S. sorry if this kinda seems OT

Its not really worth it. GA is ok armor just not really needed to be upped.

Not really, my friend has an avenger and he wears an eth GA all the time. He upped it and got 1600+ defense.

- mikleI agree with this, the strength req. becomes a little too high for my taste

Uping a bonesnap is fine, if you play single player. On the realms it's quite pointless, because it is beat by many other better weapons. It has no ias, and can only get one socket. But in sp, it's also not very rational, due to runes being damn hard to find.

Well I see what you're saying and I do cheat a little by importing any runes I want infinitly, Its cheating yes, but it keeps the game fun for me.

I suppose. Bonesnap is a nice weapon, but, I find rares that beat it all the time with less trouble then all that stuff.

I don't think it'd be worth it upping bonesnap. There are so many hammers/mauls of all versions with CB and all that stuff bonesnap has.

Hey, tht's the exact same thing I made recently, hehe. Except with 194%ED only. I like it on a merc because he's always getting knocked around by elemental attacks.

How do you do that?

Yes, I play offline even and just use ATMAs if you want that, look on the SP forum and they'll tell you all about it.

But you can only import runes that you (or someone else) have found, right? You can't create runes as you wish?

LordRigorMortis

The trick is cube recipes my man... you have unlimited gems to make perfects even if all you have is chippys enough of them make perfects, then use the gems and what runes you have to go all the way to zod if you so feel. I started at an Um rune from my NM hellforge and from there I have al the runes.

By "duping" ATMA stashes?

CoyoteKid

I don't understand, so could you explain this?

LordRigorMortis
28-04-2006, 17:29
okay. *Inhales...

You can use this ATMAs program to export items right from a character to a folder on your computer. While they're there you can use the Import function to bring the item onto a character that you have open through the program, you can see your inventory, stash and merc items in the program without even having the game going. Anyway then you can find any space with say 6 empty inventory squares and put say a crystal sword or something that you have exported from your computer right to that spot on the character. But see the thing is is that it copies and not cuts it so you could import the exact same item as many times as you want. The original item doesn't move. The main cache of items I have aren't actually on ANY character. They are in a folder. (Well its a series of sorted folders I made by level) but Do you get it then or....?
If not just go ahead and get the program and I think you can get it figured out. If my idiot step brother did it then Im positive you can too. Okay

Best of luck, (Feel free to ask anymoe questions),

in single player it sounds like alot of hard work cubing chippies into perfs and ums into zods and such , why dont u download some other editors that have a database full of every item in the game plus the ability to change prefixes and suffixes and make items etheral or socketed ^^ etheral 6 socket windforce which has +99 skills on it aint too shabby after all

LordRigorMortis

There is a line I draw with how much cheating I do.
I figure if I make them fair through the game it means two things. HTey can't be corrupt and its almost as if Im not doing anything wrong. I still need the socketed item and that can be hard to find other wise its not that difficult anyway. just import like a perfect emrald and three ist or something and you get the next one then so forth its relatively quick
Igot to zod in about 10 minutes and I would take longer than that to track down a safe mod that I morally agree with
