thorns - is this aura any useful?

is there any character which benefits of them?
Ive only seen it used by noob level 20 palladins

but is there any type of char which would benefit of it?
the monster damage is quite low I think, while their hp is high

a zealot (someone who steals a lot of life) would partially benefit (no ias, no +dmg??)


also sorry for LOD questions:
why they use fanaticism vs ubers?
the ubers arent demons? wouldnt sanctuary be better (+800%dmg vs deamons) - Im not sure if it adds dmg to smite tho :/
but zeal?

the only way to use thorns in classic I know would be a helper for necro - but still a zealot/smiter with fanaticism is better

Thorns was so nerfed that I don't believe it is of any use. Maybe for a Paladin playing along with a Summoner, but even then, I believe you get most from Fanaticism
They(Über Killers) don't always use Fanaticism, I've read of some Vanquishers that use 7 FPA Smite and Kickers who don't use fanat aswell. But they must have a fast attack. The Übers are so, well, Über, doh, that your only chance to killing them is applying Crushing Blow at very fest speeds while having Life Tap cast on them. I read some feedback that if you stop leeching life for 1 second only you're as good as dead. Zeal is not good for Übers, because they summon a lot of minions, and Zeal will distribute the blows along every monster nearby. allowing The Über to regen faster than you hit. That's why they use Smite.
Hope anybody get angry at me for answering a LoD question, but people in other forums aren't always so helpful and friendly. :smiley:
