View Full Version : BvC versus Bone Necs

Hey all,

I was wondering...generally speaking BvCs use a 10 frame teleport vs Casters(or in this case, against Bone Necs), while it has been brought up that 10+4(whirlwind's first hit-check) well generally be quicker than any tele-attack another caster has, I've had problems basically trying to hit a Caster that basically teles away upon recovering from my leap.

Most of the time it would be necros, seems to me they have no problems escaping from my namelock WW after the double hit recovery animation from leap.

Now I'm pretty sure it isn't a "your namelock is too slow" problem, since most of the time I would be able to namelock tele as soon as I complete the leap animation.

Point is, the match becomes rather drawn out as I attempt to repeat the process, but what is bad is that if the necro manages to escape my namelock WW I would take damage from the spirits he already casted...I was wondering how you would tackle these necros?

I have faced a similar problem. For some just running in circles (Go massive R/W from natural speed and enigma) and out pacing their spirits then namelock teleport on them, or next to them, and WW through them (running as soon as i am out of the WW to avoid damage) is enough.

There are other necros at the 105 fcr BP that your just not going to be easily able to close on, if at all. At the point where everytime i get remotely close they tele away I usually get out my bowzon or just unhost them.

this a problem i faced too, and it has been suggested on this forum,that one needs to increace fcr to next break point, which would mean using trang gloves arachnid+2 10 fcr rings.
I personally havent tryed this and don't know if this is the solution.
My personal xp shows that necros recover pretty fast from my leap (lvl 31)
and then my fcr (40%) isn't high enough to tele on top of them and ww.
If someone knows how to deal with this situation with only 40 fcr ,please share.

this works for me.

i run and not tele to escape spirit/spear. necro will think im low on life or scared outta my wits so they play offensive. this allows me to get a easy tele namelock ww on them (without leaping) when they play TOO offensive and stay on my screen as they give up playing defensive.

this might not worth for you but works 80% of the time for me.

Versus good bone necs you need to make heavy use of delayed name lock teleport. Expect to trade a bone spirit hit for your WW hit in most cases, hopefully you get more than 1 ww hit per attempt. It's when you miss 5-6 in a row that you're going to have a problem. Also repeatedly doing a delayed tele after unsummon-namelock can be problematic with a bad connection, so as usual the most important thing is to have a good connection when fighting necs. Also don't get suckered into a nec baiting you when he has 10-12 IBS floating around him. If you get nec on screen and there are absolutely no BS floating around, keep chasing and don't let him set up another BS field. The two most common strategies for necs fighting barbs are a) setup BS trains and follow them hoping the barb will try to get you and end up eating lots of BS and b) shooting off 3-4 bs in different directions then following two of them in between to the point in which neither will no longer home in, then repeating. For ultra defensive bone nec, first find mana pool, eat it all (keeping 16 for yourself), then play his game and avoid all IBS for a few minutes until he has maybe 1-2 pots left, then start making your moves. You will not catch a nec that plays ultra defensively and knows he has a mana pool sitting in a corner of the blood moor.
