I'm considering building a lich lord in hcl. How much lag can i expect? I do not want to build it if all I'll get is skipping frames, that would be no fun.
With my connection 124/58 on Open B.net, I lagged extremely much with just 5 revives.

i have a nice cable connection, its just that im worried about whether my comp will be able to handle all those minions.
it depends greatly on your comp and connection...
dial up and a p1=major lag...
i share a connection with my gf off the same router...but hers is more laggy cause she runs a p2 with maybe 128 mb ram
vs i have a dual core 3.2 with .5 gig of ram (would really like a get a 1 gig stick still..as soon as i seen one for a nice price =P)

My connection speed hasn't changed in about 7 years, it's been the fastest cable one available everywhere I've lived, but I would flee at the site of a summonmancer due to my computer (733 MhZ P1 with trash written all over it). Recently upgraded to a 2.8 dual core with 1GB Ram and 256MB Vid RAM and that made all the difference. Now I try to see if I can lag the game. So in my experience the computer ends up being the limiting reactant, since I assume literally no one plays BNet with a dial-up or if they do, remind me to say a prayer for those unfortunate Hardcore players every night before bed.
lol...weirdbeard watchout for that guy and his new army of 60+ minions and bwall galore =P...
so can you actually lag your games out?

No, though I'm working on a 7/3/3/3/3 kicksin that with a hellfire torch may raise some laggish hell... no pun intended. I didn't literally mean I try to lag the game out, but I have enjoyed the response time of a computer that doesn't act like it has to rerender the entire game every time I teleport. I've also finally been able to play a necro with minions, it's a thrill everyone deserves.
