I went to watch tv while in an "afk script" game
come back 10 minutes later, im signed out of bnet. im like wtf
sign back in, ALL my chars are naked, EVERYTHING on them is stripped, even my mercs, mules, everything, gone.
down to the nearest health potion on my belt, gone.

if anyone's in a giving mood, honestly ANYTHIGN would be of use right now, my whole account that i spent months ( came back after .10) working on prety much done, bvc, bowa, hdin for rushing.
not too much but the bvc and bow were about as stacked as they could be, any help with gear, rushes, etc would be useful cuz right now i got ****ing nothing

Not to sound too harsh - but unless you give your password out to people I'd advise deleting whatever hack program you are using and doing a virus/spyware scan on your computer before attempting to rebuild your account.

Other than that - try the community forum.

Why do you need rushes if you characters were only stripped and not deleted?

ignore this thread though, i'll only be MIA for a few weeks

This is how someone did it. When you afk in a game you're connected through the server where the other guy is also connected in the server. So what I've seen done and explained to me before, is they find your ip address by communicating with the server then brute forcing your email address and remotely installing some program that drops, rejoins with another char, drops. Et cetera, then logs off. That's what a computer wiz told me, and it makes perfect sense. If you come to USEast NL I might have a soj layign around.

Oh please. There is no operational brute-force method of account hacking.

Your "computer wiz" was trying to impress you by sounding smart about hacking. I will pull an account right now with a full field random pass and I challenge ANYONE to break into it. I will leave the computer logged on. I will make one character with a single item in its inventory. The hacker has to post a screenshot of the item on their character. Do you know why I will offer this challenge? Because there is no functioning brute force account hack, other than someone trying to guess an overly simple password.

When people get hacked/cleaned out it's for one of two reasons:
1. They gave their password to someone they shouldn't have.
2. They are using a 3rd party program that jacked their pass.

or, adding a 3rd reason, they chose a stupid password that was easy to guess.

I didn't say an account hack. I said that they brute forced an email account, and with the password was able to email then open the email and remotely install that way. In any effect, that is what my cousin did to my email, but not to hack in anyways to figure out the password.

if they hacked the email, they could just send the password to the email and logon.

Not saying they didn't do that, but how would you know the email anyways in the first place? It's more effective, and in context, to simply not sign out as the person is afk. Though, if this WAS the method, which seems unlikely as you were gone ten minutes. Brute force takes days to find out the password, unless it's easy.

Your cousin keylogged you from something that was sent to you earlier with the logger in it. It had nothing to do with any "brute-forcing" of your e-mail.

Speedl(weird "a")nder is probably right.

I'd say keylogger or some bltchy friend.

Bruteforce idea... possible, and yet I highly doubt it. Possible, and yet not in 10 minutes. Also, do you realize how hard it will be to make a program that does all those steps?

KaythonXE Your cousin's still watching every one of your keystrokes. Even as you're typing a reply to this now. He's... everywhere... :hide:

My cousin never sent me anything before then, nor had access to my computer, nor knew I even had an email. So that is impossible. Sorry, but it is. And I find it really on when he slipped in a disk from his backpack into a friend's laptop and it loaded up a MiniForce 1.xx loading screen. o.o But okay, it's a keylogger and he's watching me respond to you guys cause he has nothing better to do. ^-^

getting keylogged shows u have little concern over computer security lol. crazy encryptions over data sent from your comp.

this gives me another suggestion to bnet.

the citibank's website has a unique login. it requires you to enter your user/pw using their dynamic numeral-input system where by u have to click on the button to enter data(eg: your username is 12345 and u need to click on the correct buttons to enter in that data).

it's virtually impossible for a keylogger to get that data. unless your friend that is snooping u is high tech enough to wiretap your router/comp/switchboard, or even to make use of electrowaves generated by your monitor to create a visual display of your computer screen on his.

well anyways, wad's ur account name nab? i might be able to donate some items in my mules that couldn't be sold for ages :S

Have you accepted any small files aroun 40kb from a I.M recently ?
If soo delete that file straight away.!!!

Why are people commenting to me? I didn't get keylogged. If I did I don't play on this computer nor have a lan connection to my actual playing computer (it's broken right now anyways).

Because we all also know that the odds you got your e-mail "brute-forced" are next to zero.

This was your original comment:

That's just nonsense. Literally. If that's what your computer wiz told you, he's not a computer whiz, he's just trying to impress you by talking like one.

The fact that you recounted that nonsense as fact makes most of us suspect you just got keylogged.

Give an explanation for Nab's mishaps then. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all. You say he got gg'd keylogged and I don't believe that. He seems smart enough to not let that happen. And if you can't explain a plausible method for this, then please shut up. You're trying to act smart, and you're not. How do you think dupes are made? By using a program to recreate the bits of data that comprise the item. The program communicates with the server to create 'lag' which hides it. But eventually the fingerprints are found to be the same and deletion flags comes up.

 If you are going to post stuff like that, pointing out the problems isn't being mean, it's being helpful.

Blah blah blah. Explain your previous little method to the point it's convincing then. You can do it. It made perfect sense to you right? So here's your chance to prove us wrong.

Explain this with enough detail to show us you have even the first clue what you are talking about:
When you afk in a game you're connected through the server where the other guy is also connected in the server. Further, you said:

I'm glad you said this. So later you won't try to change your story.

Challenge: I will pull an e-mail and a new bnet account. You get your buddy to "brute force" that e-mail address and gain access to the account in question and I'll apologize for questioning the B.S. you are pushing here. I will create a game anytime and park a character there as long as he needs.

He got keylogged. Occam's Razor.
