i recently got a decent griffon on my lite sorc,,,, well it shows on the damage screen that i have less damage than with the shako???? is the screen lying? does the griffon makes a big diff in the damage? and if so then how would i know the damage if the screen lies,,,, thanks

You will do more damage. Mainly because you take your total damage that the character screen says and then multiply it by(provided griffs is the only thing on you that has - res) the - res of the griffs +1 of course.. So if you're doing 42k with shako, and you have a -25/20 griffs and you only are doing 40k with shako. You multiple 40k*1.25, which is 50k. If I'm wrong here someone correct me. :P But regardless 25 fcr is what matters here.

the griffs 25 adds to all the +lit damage, wich means if he has 100 lif from mastery he will have 125% with griff

The +damage mod is not important. It's the -resist mod that is the big one.

I totally aggree, as +damage is added to your lightning mastery while -resist mod is multiplicative to total damage.

+% and -% are both very important. Griffs gives fcr. That > life and mana of shako.
