I know, I'm slow!

I always make a buch of characters and am always going back and forth between them. I also trade in public games but only play solo. But I am still proud! My summonancer, WaikTheDead, finally defeated hell baal last night at the ripe old age of 83.

Skills used: Skellies, mages, revives, blood golum, decrepify, bone armor and corpse explosion.

Skills maxed: Skellies, skellie mastery, corpse explosion

Leftover points: 2 (probalby stick them in bone armor from here on out)

Stats: 118 to wear marrowalks, balance to vitality

Equipment other than rare/magic garbage:

Carin Shard petrified wand
27 viper
homu (no sockets)
+1 marrowalks

Merc: Act 2 holy freeze with:

Bonehew (shael/req jewel) used kelpie snare until approaching the hell ancients.
Smoke chaos armor
Stealskull

All quests completed but nilly.

I suffered no deaths/ressurections with this summoner. Had a few close calls towards the end when I strayed too close to a fire enhanced boss or 2.

I'll problably focus on my Javazon (80) and Windy druid (69) now.

Oh yeah...WOOT!!!

Congratulations. I find it interesting that you used a HF merc instead of a Might merc, the more tradicional approach. You might consider placing your extra points into Bone Wall instead of armor - you receive a slightly better boost.

Thanks.
I used a holy freezer (with a kelpie for most of the time) and a clay golum (misposted blood golem above) in order to slow everyone else down as much as possible. I was building this guy to be safe, not fast. Still, the holy freezer and the clay golem were probably overkill, and I will probably switch him to a might merc now.
Thanks also for the bone wall suggestion!

hf is definitely an interesting choice, especially once u get into bigger games. the deeper into hell you get, the more you will need the extra damage from a might merk, unless of course you are a masochist.

second the bonewall approach. i myself put my extra points in it after ive maxed all i wanted.

homonculus with no block? seems like a waste. block was the only thing that kept my old mine alive at the throne room (i baal'ed a lot with my old one). you can actually tank those doll explosions, as long as there arent 5 million of em (1-2 is fine).

congrats on guardian~! the first is always the sweetest

Congrats SirDooFuss!

I was going to mention about bone wall being better to invest points into then bone armour due to the synergy, but everyone beat me to it!

I hear you. It took me at least that long to kill Hell Baal. I got a good roll on the hell ancients, luckily... (no hard PI, fanat or convict)

Wow, hardcore untwinked!!! I salute you!
