scroll name-locking

You turn the scroll when you lock onto someone and it remains locked on without further instruction until you scroll in a different direction with the scroll.

I'm guessing it refers to the scroll hack, which, I've heard, allows you to scroll your screen ~4 screens away so that you can namelock-spam/tele on someone who's multiple screens away without ever actually getting a legit namelock. This also seems to allows off-map namelock teles etc etc.

ofc an easy way to tell it is if someone who's not on your map hits you with a namelock-skill (blizz, foh, tele, fc(?), a curse).

Of course there are people who say "scroll name-locking" as referring to using the mouse scroll button to switch between skills. This allows damn fast switches if the hotkeys are correct, but also makes you do a lot of mistakes, such as if you now are using tele, then u scroll up for a leap, scroll down for a tele, then leap, then quickly tele and ww, which can cause you to jump over certain skills. I once tried using the wheel, ended up sucking. Also, it can get you temp banned if you use the scroll too fast. I think B.Net thinks that as a sign of a bot/hack.

Definitely yes. I was idling in a game to perm it and I casually scrolled from aura to aura with my pally. Only for a few seconds, maybe less than 5 O_o.

hmm isn't it almost same as using hotkeys in the keyboard lol? just right click with attack(eg: blizz) and hit the guy o_O

No it doesn't. I've done it multiple times with my BvC. The scroll scrolls through hotkeys and B.Net thinks that you are using somekind of a hack to get such a fast hotkey swapping. Try it yourself on any char.

yeah there is a scroll problem but before i used to use scroll on BvC, leap was up scroll and tele was bottom scroll i mean this worked however its not as good as using keyboard as i found i was not fast enough or, accidental wrong scroll used etc and it can cause problems.

Hmmm.
Maybe it has something to do with auras?
I'll go try it again earlier, it didn't work on my sorc when I tested it yesterday
