Million Dollar Sorc Build...

Ok, just for fun, here's the challenge...

Someone will give you one million dollars if you can beat the Uber 3 with a sorc in under 10 minutes. You don't have to kill any minions, just the Uber 3 and grab the torch as proof.

What is your build/Equipment/Strategy/?

LOL! You're an odd one for sure, even somewhat funny, in a quirky nerdy sort of way.

Anyway, it's been posted many times that the Sorc could never ever solo Trist. In fact, just after the patch it was thought that only Paladins and maybe, just maybe, Barbs could ever solo trist. Months later we see Zons, Necros, Sins, Druids all making successful Uber characters.

But, what if a million dollars was the prize instead of a torch for a Sorc? (Ok, ok, forget the million-- what if the prize was simply doing something most everyone said was impossible).

One would think CB would be a MUST for success, but is it really? Hmmm...

Somehow, I feel like this is going to be at least as hard as solving one of the 7 Clay problems. :wink3: Except of course, they actually give you 1 million dollars if you can solve one of their problems.

well with the whole plugy thing its been proved that it would be possible if it was not for the minions, and if the bosses were a bit dumber.

lets see, what do most uber chars need for sucess?

stacked res
nice dr
some absorb maybe
good life
crushingblow
prevent monster heal
they must be able to hit, either through a special always hitting attack, spell, or high ar.
fast attack speed

so if we were to do this, lets assume an unlimited budget.


Gear:

lastwish phase blade (fade, crushing blow, life tap, pmh)
stormshield (massive dr, good block) ias/res jewel
guillaumes (to top crushing blow with 100%) ias/res jewel
highlords (ias)
dracs (more life tap)
tgods (abs, stats)
hotspurs (nice res)
raven (abs, dex)
another raven

with a masive prebuff of enchant for super high ar

ALOT of res charms, gcs would do, for 150+ res from charms, if not more including torch/anni, with alot of life as well

armor? im not sure on this one, was thinking a bug eth prudence, for like 2500+ def armor that repairs itself, combined with max ice shield of some sort would be nice.

i dont think i would personally use Eshield

prebuff fade before you go in.

also another idea, which i think should work, allthough is VERY lame, chuck a low req infinity on your sorc, and use a dual dream/hoj/dragon act 3 merc, and just sit there for an hour taking off the dream and putting it back on, then doing the same with the hoj. you would get the damage from the pulses into the millions by then, so i cant see any reason why you couldn't one hit kill the ubers, which would be hilarious. this would be your merc killing the bosses, and not you though.

also another idea, which i think should work, allthough is VERY lame, chuck a low req infinity on your sorc, and use a dual dream/hoj/dragon act 3 merc, and just sit there for an hour taking off the dream and putting it back on, then doing the same with the hoj. you would get the damage from the pulses into the millions by then, so i cant see any reason why you couldn't one hit kill the ubers, which would be hilarious. this would be your merc killing the bosses, and not you though.But you still killed ubers though.

I've solo'd the ubers with my sorceress. All I used was a basic lightning setup with an adjusted merc to tank, and an azurewrath.
My setup for ubers:

Griffs
Coh
Pspirit
Azurewrath
Bk ring
Fcr/res
+2 sorc/+20 fcr other mods ammy
Treks
Arachs
Magefists

Merc:
Eth infinity CA
Coa -15%req/15res jewelx2
Coh

The trick was learning to tele so that the merc could effectively take out the minions and hit the ubers so they weren't hitting me. The lightning did do damage quite effectively with all the -res from conviction, and my equip. The ONLY way you'll keep your merc alive is with a lifetap wand. So remember that. ^^

enchantress with a 3ber1 um 2x 15/15 ias/res jools in a pb. gulls face. coh ap. bloodfist, some nice boots. sanc towershield. switch coh for GA umed if you prebuff with treachery. some nice rings with res and dex. belt tg or bugged belt. Max enchant for the arboost. take down the ubers life with the cb and the finnish with a botd on switch ; ). eth dimblade.

SP is different i think as there are no minions in there i believe which makes it MUCH easier.

I build first in sp to see if its viable or not, not the cheapest stuff i have to get ;)

I don't even think there's an uber tristram in single player... unless they have changed it, last time i tried, i couldn't melt keys w/ cube, so how would you get brain, eye and horn w/o being able to melt keys? Unless you use an editor ofc. Quite a shame actually:cry:.

there is no uber trist in SP, just the keys, i think u need a mod for it though its different from bnet trist.

its called plugy or smth simular. the minions doesnt spawn in trist though.

An ES blizzard sorceress with a ton of duped mana charms can last forever with 11,000 mana and max DR.
That's probably what I'd use, if I could afford all of that.
