what you are talking about is str glitch.

assume you are abarb and you have standard gear. that will give you lets say 36 lvlBO. now if you put on a 5 bo delirium+3 wc amulet + 9 wc gcs you can get about 52 lvl Bo .then you go bo your self and put back on the standard dueling gear but your life is much higher.This is how barbs prebuff

now assume you are an es sorc. and you have the standard gear. If you have 9 es memory staff you will use it to cast es and it will be 9 lvls higher when you put back on your dueling gear. this is how sorc prebuff

AHH ok thanks for the clarification, just a term i never heard of before, i do that on my barb atm, just only have the +5 helm and a 3 WC CTA and a echoing sword on switch.


what is the str glitch then? i heard its risky cuz if yur NK'd you can be multiple corpse screwed since you cant equip all your crap cuz you tricked the stats with str crap.. how exactly does it work?

Prebuffing is basically casting your basic defensive spells with a higher skill level than you would normally use and then switching to more efficiant fighting gear. So people change out their rings for sojs, belt for arachs, helm for a high +skills one, etc. Then, after they cast everything, they stiwch to fcr rings, helm to CoA, etc and go fight. So, for example an assassin might have level 40 venom with the gear she wears, but she cast it at lvl49 because she prebuffed. Prebuffing also involves using last wish to fade a character besides an assassin, aquireing cyclone armor, or wearing +% to a skill gear to cast certain skills.

The str bug is simply that you're character doesnt display an item because it uses charms to atain a certain str and the base str put in isnt hight enough to allow the item. Now, if you then remove those charms, when the time comes to pick up items from a corpse you get only some of your items because the others are out of your str range. Now, if you get killed again, and leave the game, the second corpse will come with you, leaving your items on a corpse which vanishes when you leave.

'Prebuffing' is also using the runewords Treachery, Bone, Rain, Grief, Fortitude and a Demon Limb to give yourself an advantage by casting off-class skills (oSkills.)

There are two types of str bugging, and it seems like someone asks one of these questions twice a day...

One is forcing your equipment to be invisible to anyone else who looks at it, the second is losing your equipment because you relied on str/dex from something you weren't wearing when you died.

str bug in actually is a good thing but the reason u cant see the gear is becasue charms adding str are being used to hold the gear i.e torch anni str charm etc.

And no that is not allways the case cuz u can be str bugged where u appear naked but u can still equip all ur items in one click as normal.

The key to str bug is to be able to appear like this and still equip ur gear with no problem, the best way to test this is to get a friend to kill u. If u cannot pick up all ur gear in one click even if its on switch, then u have a problem and u need more str.

People go for this approach as in dueling if ppl cant see ur gear then when u start dueling u can give ppl a nasty surprise ofc mh users can still see the gear though :shocked:

So importantly it gives u the element of surprise also saves stats if u use torch + anni to give u the str u need to wear an item this means more stats can go to health.

I'd hostile someone who I can see the equipment of faster than I would someone who I cannot.

of course it does give you advantages.
you will use min stat points to str and so you will have more vita thus higher life ,therefore you will be harder to kill
