My bowazon has only 900 something life after bo. It seems really low. How much life should i have? I still have some points saved up. Do i put them in vitality or do I dump the rest into dex for more dmg?

Pure dex zons don't usually have much life... they also aren't an overall good duel char IMO.
No matter how good you are, you are going to get hit eventually, dying in 1 blow, well... that's weak.
If you're already high level and your vit is low, you might as well put the rest into dex. But if you are still fairly "mid" level and can raise vit significantly, I would suggest doing so.
The difference between dying in 1 hit, as opposed to 2, is huge. And to have 900 HP after BO, your base HP must be around 600 ... that's just.. ouch.
...
I don't play amazons in general, but I play with a friend constantly, that uses all amazons, his bowzon had about 1500 HP base.

That's why zons have dodge/avoid/evade.

You can't rely on dodge/avoid/evade forever, sooner or later you will get hit by a shard of FO or a WW slash or a blessed hammer... it doesn't matter how good you are, you WILL take a hit eventually.

wouldn't that apply to every char in the game as well.

Yes, and you never hear of any other decent dueling char running around with 900 life, either. From what I can tell, 3k is the minimum for any other class.

from my experience you will die instantly whether you have 900 life or 2k+ life

I have 3500 HP, which is actually quite low, unless I seriously get caught off guard, nothing 1 hit kills me...
Dying instantly? only if you have negative resists with horrid life... or get massively surprised...

this forum seems on the whole clueless abut zons.
they have bad resist? only if you build like an idiot.
You want resist then build for it and use charms etc
you want dr then use dr items.
The only way to build a zon is not for pure max damage at expense of all else thats just stupidity.
thats kida rite most builds usally build with some kinda balance, i.e good dmg, while still keep good life, fhr etc.
Its does not really make too much sense going for a build that does higher dmg but all the other important aspecs like life, dr, fhr block if u include are sacrificed greatly.
Even some hammerdins i seen in duel, they go for the more vita apporch while still hitting like 12k hammer and netting 4k + life with a setup that has dr as well as hitting fhr breakpoints.
Same principle for barbs and other chars.

alright then give me an idea how
lets say you are using a faith gmb
-20 ias/kb gloves, likely no res and no fhr
-usually two ravens on, even with a rare ring how much can that really help you
-boots either gores or treks or godly rare fhr/multi-res boots, that should help
-ammy cat's eye for fr/w and 20 ias, no fhr or res here
-helm 120/45 to hit 7 frame with gmb, i assume no fhr or res here
-armor fort, 20-30 res but no fhr
-belt must have 10 ias to hit 7 frames with gmb so you can't wear verdungo for fhr/dr/vit
-now if you mean you are getting all of these desirable mods in large quantities from duped dual-mod charms then sure that makes sense, but how much room will you have for r/w charms which are your main source of defense (maneuvering)
so most pvp zons use faith mat instead which only needs 50 ias? but then you lose a large chunk of max damage
bowazons seems to be near impossible to balance out all the important defensive/offensive mods if you don't have the duped non-ladder charms available
Makes no diff if u have 800 or 2k life when 15 hammer or 10k blizz hit u

u should have 1,1k life
1500 minimum. it seems to work best against pallies, barbs, and especially in z v z. everything else is always going to be 1 hit killers (fb,blizz, lightning, nados, etc.)
i agree 900life vs 1.5k makes no diff...
i mean every char is out there maxing their chars for 1 hit kills
you'll need like 5-6k life like a barb to tank several hit...but other than that...they don't call them glass cannons for nothing =P
