Well assuming that this is your first char on classic and that you have no friends to rush/power lvl you, this is what I would do:

Get to lvl 20. You can do with by just doing cat runs in full games. Getting to act 2 will get you there quicker, assuming you can kill there easily enough.

After that leech in norm cows until you can start killing. Continue to norm cow until about 35 or so. By this time, norm should be pretty easy.

Leech in nm cows and continue nm cows until about lvl 60. By then you shouldnt need much help getting through nm. If you are making a hybrid or something and your spells are still kind of weak, do nm cs runs. You can get to lvl 70 by raiding games pretty easily.

Once in hell, you might need a little help here and there, but for the most part you shouldnt have too much trouble. You should be able to find someone in public games to help out a little bit.

After that do hell cs runs until you are at the desired lvl. This is what I did when I started this ladder, about 2 months after the reset. I started with a barb, but it shouldn't be too hard for a sorc either.

Hmm.. cata runs... never really heard of those...
Instead, do tris. runs, much better alternative.

18-20 tomb runs.

20-26~(recommened but optional) norm cows. Getting to level 35 in norm cows is very time consuming and better spent on getting into nightmare.

After 30~ do some nm cows, get to 50~. Then work to get into hell act 2, surprisingly there is an abundance of exp there..

After that just do cs runs.

Trist runs are good until about 12 or so. But running cats in a full game can get you atleast 1.5 levels a run, even at lvl 19-20. And I did say that act 2 would be faster if he could kill there. But on a untwinked sorc playing alone it would probably be easier in cats.

And you expect to do trist runs until lvl 18?

Yes, I had forgotten to include that. But Cata runs usually don't give you godly amounts of exp, esp. when you are playing yourself.

Twinked or Untwinked, a sorc can clear tomb easy, I've done it many times with my lvl 18 ice bolt UNTWINKED.

You seem faithless in his and the sorc's ability.

1.5 lvls a run? that is real bad at such low lvls because cata runs take a while walking and chopping. unless your chanted of course.

hehe im lvl 52 now i used her as a milee character till i got to lvl 30 saved all my skills for orb and cm so it was kind of hard especialy as i had to solo for most of normal but as soon as i could use orb it was simple now im mfing in nm at the moment trying to find a shard and some nice armour which brings me on to my next question what unique armours are available in classic and how much will i be expected to pay for the armour and shard in gold or pgs on sc europe classic ladder ?

im going for these stats

20 frozen orb
20 cold mastery
15 static
20 tele
5 warmth
1 light mastery
6 skills needed to get to orb
10+ nova (only needed to finish off cold immunes after ive used static)
also nova will be the last skill i put any skill points in

Interesting build...

I think lvl 11 static is better suited for you, since it reaches the end of the screen, and anymore would be a waste.

And 5 warmth is probably a waste of 4 skills points, go with one instead(trust me)

I'd like to see how this build turns out.

As for your other questions, twitchthroe is probably the best "newbie" armor for you, since you can get it cheap for 1 or 2 p skuills.

I'm not sure about the price of shard in terms of gold or pskulls but I can tell that it is rather cheap.

Good luck.

ive already put 5 points into warmth my thinking was with a few +skills i wont need to drink pots all the time
as for static ill try 11 and throw the rest of the points into nova ive got a few weeks of so im hoping to lvl this sorc to lvl 90 if i can
for now i need to get from act 2 to diablo before i can start to lvl some more i think
