View Full Version : Pits/Ancient tunnels strafezon
What would be the optimal stat/skill allocation for a strafezon running pits and ancient tunnels, on a medium budget (no high runewords and andy face, WF etc)?
I've looked at the WWS zon guide, and have started my build based on that. Im wondering if 80-100 vitality is enough, and if I should use wws or harmony.
I won't be needing any mf since I'm mostly looking for runes and socetables.
Thanks

70-90 str
50-70 vit
rest dex
20 strafe
20 fury
20 penetrate
65% pierce
50% crit
Valk if you want (overrated)
The tunnels are the only place in the game where PI/MIs occur with any frequency. There is one zombie class that is naturally MI and the bosses of that class are often PI. My Witchy had 8 points into FA with just the prereqs at one point. This won't kill anything. But with two and half sec of freeze duration in Hell, the boss would just stand still until Amp triggered. I just love those small charms with 1-2 cold damage as a secondary mod.
The hybrid route will work very well down there too, although you will need to do a lot weapon switching since the skells are all LI.
Woot! 1k!

1 pt light bolt on switch will take care of PI
What would be best, a wws or a Harmony rw in a hydra bow?
Harmony is pretty sweet. And if you need a temp meatshield you can always use the revive charges. I think harmony might be better on the cool factor (and vigor).
What about stat point distribution? And skills? I'm like lvl 75 now, with loads of unused stat and skill points..

NEVER make harmony in base 10 speed bows , it has no ias on it, your best bet is speed 0 or -10 bows like shadow bow, diamond bow, MB etc...
and a decent upped wws is far better than a harmony.
