hi.

seems as if i have searched everywhere for a PVM skill build for the bow amazon. i would appreciate if someone could tell me the skill layout. i am making a goldfind (gf) \ gambling zon (yes i know barbs have find item, i am trying a zon!) with these items...

40/15 windforce (35ias)
160/60 armor (60ias)
2 x cgrips (116%gf)
goldwrap (10ias, 54%gf, 30%mf)
chance guards (200%gf)
gheeds (151%gf, reduce vendor prices) a must have
4 x 40%gf grand charms
35%gf grand charm
39%gf grand charm

no ammy, no boots, no helm.. any ideas?

so what i need help on is ammy, boots, helm, skill usage, and... i want to know if there is a better item layout i could use, maybe to max ias\fpa and as much goldfind as possible.

hopefully someone can help me with the items as well as skills but if not that's okay, i'll live. any help is appreciated. thanks.

maybe this will turn into a sticky or a build for a goldfind zon, or maybe there already is one that you could direct me to and we can forget this whole post ever happened.

hope i didn't forget anything.

One word: Ravenfrost. The ring every amazon should wear.

Perhaps you can consider a frozemaiden using Ice runeword which will give you over 200+% in gold find at high levels. That, together with chance guards will yield > 400+% gold find and if you add Gheeds, it's well over 500%!!

ice is a good suggestion.

If you are aiming for GF on the ammy, boots and helm...

Lem'd Crown of Thieves - 150% GF or An artisan's tiara of wealth (80 +3*50 = 230 GF)
A GF ammy
Inferostride - 70% GF or A rare/crafted pair with more GF

There is a fanatastic GF armor - Wealth runeword 300% GF

Zons will have greater difficulty with this type of build, because they do little damage in comparaison to barbs of this same build. You have to take a number of sacrifices to obtain the huge amount of GF, and frankly zon skills do little to increase the damage of thier attacks =S.

If you plan to yield ICE, you should focus on the freezing arrow skills as this is where you will obtain the biggest benefit. It's important to note ICE has terrible ED, and your physical damage will not be impressive.

70 IAS will not max your IAS without a decent Fanat and a very fast bow to begin with.

For your build you could focus on physical damage and do something like Faith or Windforce, your armor or Fort, Highlords or Cat's eye, and Tri-Res boots. Your GF will not compare to any GF character but you should be able to pull in 25+K piles in Trav.

Use Ice on a matriachal bow and you'd only need 75IAS for 8/2 strafe IIRC. Use a might merc and you can get over 1k in physical damage, good enough to leech back the mana and life (at least for me! :P).

My choice:

20 Freezing Arrow
20 Cold Arrow
20 Strafe
Ensure you have a level 17 Valkyrie, 80% pierce, 50/60/50 for D/A/E, >50% critical and a decent Freezing arrow attack rating (which is where you need to determine the number of points into Penetrate).

It's hard to say how many points to put exactly because the above requirements can be satisfied with different amount of skill points and different gears configurations.

Steel and Strength are good runewords, but I always feel better after I get Honor on a new character. Malice never appealed to me, mostly because of the life drain, which I find annoying.
